Triton Transport services hauls a LeTourneau L-2350 out of Perth.
The largest capacity bucket option for the L-2350 is a huge 40.5 m3 and the machine can lift 72,574 kg - enabling it to load a huge Ultra Class Terex MT6300 (a 363 metric tonne capacity truck) with only five passes and in just over three minutes.
The L-2350 is the only wheel loader in the world that is designed to load the bigger Terex MT6300s.

It's amazing to a guy like me who has been enjoying looking at large construction equipment for 5 decades to see how big they are getting...We had Big Muskie and the Silver spade but they were the exceptions...The dumpers, loaders and project excavators were big but..They're Tonka toys to these monsters now...I await a 300 ton D13--- :) Skip the 12....:)

How many miles per gallon, or maybe gallons per mile are used when hauling something that big? What part of Australia are you in? My dad moved to near Sale Vic in 1981 and one brother moved to the Blue Mountains in 1982. I had a V8 Mustang in the late 80s. I could see the gas tank gauge drop after doing hard acceleration from a stoplight. I was hard on that car as were the owners before me so I had to sell it.

The tractor that’s connected to the back of the trailer by a bar (?) can’t possibly be towed, so is it pushing the trailer from behind while the tractor in front is pulling? If so, how are the two tractors coordinated?

Mack trucks earned their nickname during World War I, when the British government purchased the Mack AC for supplying its front lines. Its pugnacious, blunt-nosed hood, tenacious performance, and durability, reminded the soldiers of their country's mascot, the British Bulldog.
