Question for anyone with a good answer- I know a good bit about the bible and some of the events, people and places, but these magi have always escaped me. Who are they? What roles did they have in culture where they came from and why did they even visit Jesus?

The Magi were from Persia, India, And Arabia. They knew of the Prophesy That the Savior and King of Kings would be born. They used Astrology to pinpoint where the Star would appear. They came to honor him., After all he was the King Of Kings which made him their King. Unfortunately they stopped in Jerusalem and asked King Herod where could they find the newborn King of the Jews. Herod had no idea ,when he heard this he asked the three kings to come back once they found him so he could pay his respects. Then after the kings left he ordered the Slaughter of the innocents. Every male Child ages 2 and under were butchered. When the Magi finally arrived . An Angel appeared to Joseph and told him the Magi must take another route back to their homelands . Mary , Jesus and Joseph had to leave for Egypt immediately. They remained in Egypt until Herod Died 7 Years later. An Angel appeared again to tell them they could go home Herod was dead. The Angel was most probably Gabriel, He is God’s messenger, he had spoken to Mary and Joseph before Jesus was born. Please have a Blessed day, May God’s Holy Angels guide you.

"He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit," Titus 3:5 You must repent and believe Christ death and resurrection was the atonement for your sins. You must put faith in Him because we are sinners deserving eternal wrath, eternal hell and separation from God.

Well it’s pretty Amazing content so we can’t just get it for free. I don’t mind to watch ads to support the projects future. I’m sure it’s not any less time consuming just because it’s Christ based. It could even be harder in some respects. thank you 🙏
