This text is a serious text, where Jesus is clear about who is, and who is not, a true disciple of Him. Being a Christian means having our full allegiance to Christ, and yet we can examine our own lives and find our allegiance is often skewed, never perfect, so how can we be sure Jesus is going to confess us before the Father?
