I discovered Calvary Chapel and Pastor Paul while searching for teachings on the Revise Common Lectionary. What a blessing his teachings on God's Word has been to me. I come here every week to hear the Word of God taught in a way that humbles my heart and inspire me to fully submit to God. I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (July 8), Matthew 23:1-4, 23-26 was the basis for our Sunday School Lesson of the Day. It was entitled "Jesus Criticizes Unjust Leaders." The hymn, "Gather Us In," written and composed by Marty Haugen, is a good hymn to compliment these Scriptures, regardless of denomination.
