This is so true! Many people today has no regard about the things of God! And that includes my immediate family members! A few times I tried to engage them in a conversation about God and the scriptures! But that was either met with indifference or hostility! Whenever other people discuss these things they feigned interest for appearance sake! Funny how a lot of people weighs more the temporal things of this world than a relationship with God, their salvation and eternal life! Some treated the spiritual things as mere religion or for expediency reasons or as a last resort! But they never thought of it as the most important integral part of their lives . As a child I starved of God.. As He wasn't included as a part of my day to day existence! I learned more of Him from the sermons on the radio, from books and from my grandfather's bible.. So I prayed to know more of Him.. With the advent of the internet, KZbin and bible apps I had my fill and will continue to devour everything I need to know more about Him .

But understand this: If the owner of the house has known at what time of night the thief (the day of the Lord and the Lord himself for he will come to plunder the world of Satan), if he had known the time, he would have kept watch and would not let his house to be broken into. Here, Jesus is teaching us the importance for a leader of a house to know that time. Then he asked this: Who then is the wise and faithful servant whom the owner of the house has put in charge of the other servants to feed them at the proper time. This servant received the spirit of God who is able to reveal all the thoughts of God and he knows when to feed his weak brothers with solid or heavy secrets, the deepest secrets of God. It is not for the weak to know yet those things but they were empowered upon the descend of the spirit on them. Paul testified this: No one knows about the things God has prepared in advance for those who love him but he revealed them to us by his spirit. That is the mark we received so that we may understand the things he has freely given us (for they cannot buy or sell these things). The apostles followed the teaching style of Jesus by becoming like weak persons to the weak to win them over. They know, like their leader, when to give us solid foods, that is when we are already living in the spirit completely, for the spirit will unlock the sealed words of the visions and prophecies and the saints will be exalted and God will be glorified in our hearts.

The Bible teaches the timing of the 2nd Coming. It's 7yrs after Israel makes a peace covenant to begin sacrifices in their temple. See Daniel 9. As for "the Coming of the Lord/Son of Man", the resurrection of His Bride, no one knows when.
