Amen to matthew 8:1-17..I just keep on knocking on Jesus his door untill he completely heals me from all satanic influences. I am willing to suffer for a greater good and I will not let go of my Lord any day of this life anymore. God will heal me, this is what he is telling me clearly. Thank you Jesus for letting me grow in the faith, thank you Lord for your presence during suffering, thank you Lord for your truth and wisdom, thank you Jesus for your existence and blood! I put everything that tries to sicken me under my feet in the name and by the blood of Christ, I put the lie satan can heal under my feet in the name and by the blood of Christ! I pray others look for health and truth in Christ as well, spiritual sickness has to stop from now on, satan and his minions have no freedom and rights to spread sicknesses in the name and by the blood of Christ! I don't understand your comparison. Two thousand years ago there was no cure for leprosy; lepers suffered a long lonely painful death. It wasn't like they could continue to live with their families who were well; they were separated until death. The only hope for physical healing was the miraculous healing performed by Jesus that we read about in the Bible.

He didn't guarantee all instant healing on the cross that way He could come to us even more intimately and personally when He heals us!! Our healing is even more awesome after the cross!! He gave himself more room to outpour His miracles!! He is showing how even more generous He is by going after those who need His healing. Praise God!!!!

Exceptional teaching, thank you pastor Paul. Really clarified things for me. We have received a miraculous healing yesterday, all Glory to Jesus after people around the world have been praying. The problem was suspected deep vein thrombosis. I am a street preacher by God's grace and my hubby who's received this healing and I are out on the streets later today. Makes me think of what you said about signs will follow when God's people are on the move. It was funny because the hospital called the recovery miraculous, so it was a great opener for some witnessing :D

God can heal us. But we need to have faith in that, real faith. ... when Jesus went back to his home town he said he could not “Not would not” but could not do many miracles there because of their unbelief. But always keep in mind that sometimes healing you is not in Gods agenda for you. Also Sin of man has consequences, sickness and death is part of that. So if he heals you it must be for his honour and glory.

Why does Matthew quote Isaiah 53:4 that encompasses spiritual healing as Jesus is physically healing? I think that's where the confusion lies for me. Were these people being healed both physically and spiritually?

I watched CCO sermon of Matthew 8:1-17 by pastor Paul and now am watching Skip Heitzig’s sermon. I am so confused about Isaiah’s prophesy of 53:4-5. Does it say about physical healing(I wish it was, as you said during your sermon.) or not?? I so desperately want to know. Thank you for your teaching as always. This doesn't refer to a specific word Jesus says, but rather the means by which the demons were cast out. The original Greek text is saying that by his words Jesus had authority over demons, illnesses etc. No chanting, no rituals, just his word.

Wow I completely disagree with you in the healing part! Pastor I have seen healings happened in the name of Jesus. Myself been heal also Matthew 10:1 He called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out evil spirits and to heal every disease and sickness. 8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons.

Yes I was in very small church one Sunday where there were 2 older men with cancer, one brain cancer and the other one lung cancer, I think. a lady stood up and started talking in tongues then there was an interpretation saying the one with brain cancer will be healed. The one with the brain cancer was healed as confirmed by doctors the next week and the other one died 3 months later. The Lord does what He does and He still heals who He wants to heal......
