Samuel Barber composed the music for this poem in 1931. Barber was abaritone and had a fine voice, he sang his own music to Dover beach in 1937, which recording is still in existence. Pls go to : Samuel Barber :Dover beach, posted by Roger York. A fine recording for sure.
