I would love to see a "hymns" album from you, with a broad definition of hymns including your Rich Mullins cover(s) (Calling out Your Name?!), Give Thanks, and maybe some of the more modern hymns of the Keith and Kristyn Getty or CityAlight variety. lol Granted, I'm not sure how many of the more modern hymns would translate well to dulcimer, but I'm sure you could pull it off.

Playing a contemplative piece at that speed, bothers my soul. I play it with the reverence and peace I find within the lyrics. John Wyeth recorded the speed a +58, not 120. Keep that speed for Cripple Creek or Orange Blossom Special.
@lilrustee4 жыл бұрын
inkybell while it may be at a much faster tempo than written, it is still beautiful nonetheless. I’m sorry it bothers your soul and that you think he is irreverent. I like both ways and it seems I am not alone. I’m sure your rendition is just as beautiful. Perhaps you should try to find peace in the joy he gets from playing, and we listeners pick up on. Always try and find something good to say when no harm or evil is intended. There is always good. Blessed Day.

My soul responded with great joy and excitement, but I respect your point of view as well. I'm sorry you didn't like it.
