A 2004 report by the New York State Consumer Protection Board claimed that most of the grants mentioned in Lesko's books were actually public assistance programs that many people were not eligible for, and that Lesko misrepresented examples of people who had taken advantage of government programs. The New York Times criticized him for having implied a current association with the paper long after ending a 1992-1994 NYT column. This info is so wrong it's not even funny! If you watch his current stuff and even without paying for his programs he gives great info for free! He even gives away a monthly prize of cash as well. He was the most helpful during covid! He gave all the deadlines for SBA and the ppp loan info and always points you in the right direction for FREE. if you do want his paid help, it's $20 subscription fee and he has a $5 sub fee for those who are broke or just unsure about him! This guy is an over all good guy and like I said even the free info he gives from just his KZbin videos is like golden info. During covid I waited on my notifications everyday for him to come through! And he never pressures anyone for money at all. And he does publish info that is already out there that the government won't advertise and most people don't bother to look up or look into! Stop trying to give this guy a bad name because he knows his stuff. I actually got his book about 20 years ago now and it still has info I have used throughout the years and have gotten several grants throughout the years because of it! I think I paid $25 or $20 for the book. And it was 20 years ago!! Still on my book shelf and used as reference. He does appear to look like a living walking infomercial so that throws people off but he is absolutely LEGIT and never been a money hungry type of guy. He just wants to help people!
