@@gregorypollard5908 Because it's not just a competition, you need a good stadium, money to hire players, pro/rel will never work in America, if you want to go to MLS you need to meet requirements, what will happen in the future is the exchange of teams from USL to MLS and the main factor will be attendence, teams like Colorado Rapids need to stay tuned, otherwise they are out of MLS in 10 years.

I don't think Pittsburgh will have a team in the MLS, MLS is prioritizing cities with few major teams (Cincinnati, Austin, St Louis, Nashville), you already have 3. USL is also growing, and Pittsburgh fits right there

Assuming MLS stops expansion at 30 teams, there's only one spot left which will go to a team that'd make sense in the western conference (probably Sacramento or Las Vegas).

Surely the fans should be chanting like Matthew’s character in Wolf Of Wall Street. Missed opportunity. Shouting stuff in Spanish is a bit lame. As a British guy, I think American soccer culture is best when it finds it own voice. I love the fact that a lot of MLS chants are based off 1990s hip-hop and that is unique to American soccer culture. Shouting in Spanish just seems to me lazy pandering to Mexican Americans. Other cultures like soccer too.
@reypuma3313 жыл бұрын
I mean some mls teams have no mexican american fans and have english chants. Just let each MLS team be different my dude

A lot of the supporters groups around here are predominantly Hispanic (including mine, LaCinco12, which is almost all Mexican including myself), so it makes sense for us to chant in Spanish
@Delboy03 жыл бұрын
@@urfacesoccer I know there are a lot Mexican Americans in Texas, but feel pandering is lazy marketing. And the pandering rarely works, just look at chivas US and poorly attended Dallas and Houston teams. The most successful MLS fan cultures are the ones that are inclusive and don't pander to one community like Atlanta Utd, Portland and LA FC.
