My God the pianist is amazing! It must be an utter joy to play with her. Lucky Matthew, who plays wonderfully as well.

Totally agree... accompaniment often gets overshadowed by the soloist, however both players here are truly grand.

The piano and bass are like one team that cannot be separated within this piece. Bravo!

I really don't know much about australian born Proffessor Mat McDonald, an expert at his craft shown playing this piece. Migh'tve read somewhere that he once held an assistant principal gig at this danish national radio symphony orchestra in berlin. That explains to me that this cat could probably play something this technical in the dark during a power outage. I'd have probably cried too to hear him play in a formal setting, might've been expensive but I would've paid for it. Absolutely incredible!!!

Does anyone know where I can get this arrangement that he did, or if it's even available? Please and thank you for any help that you can give me, because I'm a fellow bassist that would LOVE to play this

i don't know if it's the one he plays, but International has one by either Zimmermann or Sankey, can't remember which. Just taking Cello sheet music usually backfires.
@antoniofonseca68887 жыл бұрын
its the sankey version with some adjustments

Bryan Guarin trying to play this with cello music isn't reasonable. Thankfully, the camera shots are good enough to make this piece learnable along with your ear

Jeff Bradetich's version available through Ovation Press keeps the original music intact while sharing some useful fingering/bowing concepts

Can somebody tell me the tuning in this song with bass
@rojasrod8 жыл бұрын

Thomas TS I was just about thinking that it was impossible to play this piece ( in standard)
@anthonywilsongolf6 жыл бұрын
Napkin Shoplifta' no it isnt. The highest note is a high a. Without using harmonics off of the fingerboard, the bass can get to a high c in standard tuning

great, IMO the piano maybe be a little softer, it out volumes the bass, more balence the volumes

I'm pretty sure this piece was written in a concentration camp during WWII such a sad song but well done. Good job.

Great. Good Sound, perfect Intonation, telling the Story, wonderful. Only the Vibrato is not with the Music. Less would be more.
