Well done, Mr. Rhys. I am grateful that you understood what Mr. Rogers was about and could so respectfully counter and diffuse some of the dysregulation that Mr. Hanks (a wonderful actor and person) clearly came face to face with while playing this role. You are a kind man and a great soul to recount Mr. Hanks' befuddlement trying on the role of this generous spirit and explain, "and then I discovered the true genius of Mr. Rogers." Mr. Hanks is also a national icon for us and I'm grateful he made the film and for all the films he's made and/or produced. Kind wishes to you both.

2:25 I remember the first time Seth said that and it kinda, I don’t know how to say this, it kinda made me have this warm feeling in my ❤️. Because I was genuinely curious what would happen if you presented a toddler with the original mister Rogers show (and I don’t mean the episodes I watched when I was a kid which was towards the end of the show but I’m talking about the black and white episodes). But what the show does so well is have the ability to speak about these adult subjects to children but do it in a way to where Mister Rogers never talked down to kids. But rather he just got down to their level. We shall never forget what you did Fred. I don’t think I’ll have children but if I do I’m showing them when their old enough (3ish) an episode or two every morning.

Like most Brits, I should think, I'd never heard of Mr Rogers till seeing the film. Americans tend to assume that their TV is seen by the whole world! And I don't feel I need him in my life now, we have shows just as good over here (or used to) - but I do like the film a lot. It's also interesting to hear Matthew Rhys as himself for once, I'm a little surprised that (unlike Richard Burton or Anthony Hopkins) he does have a distinct Welsh accent. Although he's being polite, he also seems as edgy as the roles he plays.

And interestingly two versions of Fireman Sam were made - one in English and the other in Welsh. I grew up watching the version with the Welsh soundtrack. It’s called Sam Tân.

@@stelladonaconfredobutler9459 That is 1) not true and 2) makes no sense. How can you be from Britain and not be British? EVERYONE who is from Britain is British. And the nationality of the Welsh is British too as ALL Citizens from the UK/Britain are officially British. The Welsh are the original British from before the English and Scots turned up, so they are MORE British than anyone else on the planet, let alone the Scottish or English. So in 3 separate ways the Welsh are British. They are also Europeans and Earthlings, even those who are stoopid enough to disagree or dislike the idea.

@@quarkwrok What makes this even more pathetic is Stelladona probably is like "Oh, I didn't realize that" He or she can't appreciate how moronic they are. I can't understand the mindset behind someone that feels compelled to step in and "correct" or "inform" other people...with information that is so completely wrong. And, yet, when they're given what most of us consider...IDK..would we even call it common knowledge? Is knowing your left from your right or East from your West common knowledge? My 3 yr old nephew knows what Great Britain is and that people from there are British. Stelladonna, please be embarrassed and turn that embarrassment into a good thing. Go stand in front of the mirror and say to yourself "I don't want to be this moronic fool who mistakes asinine drivel for coherent intelligence" There are times in life where being ashamed and embarrassed are the appropriate response...and for you..this is one of them.
