That rod is a clutch rod and it goes where you saw it fit….. where the clutch basket sits on and also there is a ball that looks like a bb and another rod…. Check out clutch rod and ball…. Also I would get a brand new crank….. that little thing you called a magnet is a woodruff key it goes in the crank on the side the fly wheel goes on In that little slit you will notice…Hope this helps bro!!! Don’t give up it will all come together!!!

Ok I will keep that little piece of metal then .. I didn't see any bb maybe the last builder never installed it back in. I ordered a crank and rod together and a piston. Thanks for the info it helps

@@matthew1er yeah brother the clutch has a rode that goes in that center hole then the bb and then another rod with two nuts one on the inside of the clutch plate and one on the outside to hold the rods wherever you adjust your clutch at

Don't tap the inside of the the case reece with a screwdriver those tiny Mars there affect sealing. Also that is a clutch rod ur missing a bb go buy both. Also u need new crank that one is likely a lemon since it doesn't freely turn up and down. For cheap power u can buy a tors delete and run 32 or 40 of premo shit and pick up a few horses for low. Buy boysen reeds. Hone tht cylinder if it was sitting long for measure it helps oil stay on the walls. Good luck with ur project ymmv

@@matthew1er heck yea, go for it man its easy u already done the hard part. Also while your at it buy a woodruff key +4 from vitos. (SUPER CHEAP)Do them both you will pick up great powa 🤘🏼
