Once Spektrum realizes that their current pricing is not going to fly then begin to lower their prices to compete with other manufacturers, I'll jump on board especially with the ESC. Matthew Does spektrum have a combination receiver and esc and smart battery that will warn you when your battery is below a selected voltage in the telemetry menu? Or do you have to use the sending wire that gets connected to you lipo ?
@MatthewHeiskell2 жыл бұрын
The simplest and cheapest solution is to use the telemetry receiver only, but you have to connect those two voltage sensing wires to the battery. The other option is to use the telemetry receiver and smart ESC together. That will work with any battery too. And you won’t need to connect those two voltage sensing wires to your battery.

What I'm wondering... if I get the GPS module for my existing reciever can I have all the virtual fence functions of those airplanes with the GPS module installed?
@MatthewHeiskell2 жыл бұрын
That’s a good question! I’m not sure of the answer, but I think that the virtual fence capable receiver is a full blown flight controller. Adding a GPS to a normal telemetry receiver might be able to warn you when you’ve gone a certain distance, but I think it would need to be a flight controller to fly the plane homeward for you. Cheers Turbo Jones! Thanks for your other nice comments! 😄

@MatthewHeiskell Жыл бұрын
Good question! You should be fine if you correct mount the two long antennas. They need to be far away from each other and the short active part at the end need to be 90 degrees from the other one. Basically, point one nose to tail, and point the other one wing tip to wing tip. You can examine the number of dropped frames after a flight. If the number is high, adjust the antennas or add a satellite receiver.
