I was looking for videos of the Tascam 388 and I came across this band (because they use one for recording) from there I head about their completely inspirational story. Being a musician myself I had thought I had to keep my opinions to myself because if not my shows get canceled (which happens all the time because of something I posted on FB). As someone that is a massive fan of the psych rock/60's/70's rock revival - this band is top notch. Their sound is indistinguishable from a past era, but it's original and modern. The lead guitar/singer, and the pianist relationship also adds another element to the band. Reminds me of Win Butler, and the Ms. in Arcade Fire. You guys should get together with the Lemon Twigs for touring. I think the sounds would mesh well following each other and the fan bases should be around the same. AND then to find out about the news around your views -- WOW! Buying the record would give it 9/10. Will be looking towards a 9.5-10/10 on a sophomore album.

Love, love, love your sound including the retro organ/synthesizer sound! BYW, at abt 1:52 minutes into your title track, "The Illusion," you sing "...in your miii-aaa-nd.." DANG, the way you sound there reminds me of a FAV band of mine from way back when, maybe around 1870 but I can't bring it to mind. I say F**k the stupid PC too-far-to-the-left agenda, they WILL fall apart, as you said when something goes to far to one side there is a counter balance effect. I use the analogy of an old ship with a mast. The mast is the center where there is [perfect] balance, where the TRUTH lay. If all the weight in the ship shifts all port or starboard, the ship flips, passenger, crew, and cargo are lost and the ship itself sinks to its doom. I have a feeling that there is now as SILENT majority [main-stream] DEMOCRATS who are sick of their party being wrenched from its center! I'm a registered (R) but the ONLY candidate is support is called the TRUTH! Doesn't matter from whom it is spoken, truth is universal.
