Here's a RANDOM fact for you Matthew Santoro. Did you know that when you watch movies in any countries in Europe, Australia and parts of Africa on DVD or cable tv, it is actually sped up by 4%. This results in the audio of the movie sounding a little higher and faster.

Crown Rick Auto Well, movies are filmed at 24FPS. This is the frame rate we see when we go to the cinema. But when film is released on DVDs and on cable TV, it has to ve converted. For europe, australia and parts of asia and africa, it is converted to 25FPS. This is because tge TVs refresh rate is 50HZ. Since 25 is an even multiple of 50, thet just sped it up to match our refresh rate. The picture still has the same cinematic look from the cinema, but the overall playback is sped up 4%. This TV system is known as PAL. Now, other countries like North and South America, there use the NTSC system, which has a TV refresh rate of 60HZ.So movies are converted to 30FPS, since 30 is an even multiple of 60. But, they don't sped ut up. 24 sped up to 25 is hardly noticeable, but w4 sped uo to 30 is EXTREMELY noticeable. So, they actually repeat the first frame , 3 times and the second frane twice. This doesn't affect the audio, so it will sound exactly like tge cinema. But, the picture will look all juddery and stutter alot. This is known as 60Hz Judder. So there you go. ☺
