Time Brickell How does a pronunciation of a word show lack of research? For fuck's sake, my friend in Canada thought it was Tames as well, I always thought it was more like Thuh-aims, pretty much like how it's spelled. Not everyone knows the pronunciation of every word in a language perfectly, so how is that lack of research? Nowhere you're going to luck is going to show you how to pronounce Thames unless it's a legitimate dictionary, which he wouldn't need for any research. And even if he DID look up how to pronounce it could be HABIT to say it that way because that's how he learned it. In conclusion, pronunciation doesn't show whether something is researched because words are mispronounced on accident all the time. I mean even I accidently pronounce certain as certaint quite often much to my moms annoyance. I KNOW it's certain, but if I'm not thinking it through while talking, which most people don't, it comes out as certaint.

xXMinniNinJaXx I never said he did, though I do believe he does some. What I'm saying is how the pronunciation of a word shows he didn't. It's a word, people mispronounce words all the time because they either learnt them wrong, accents, or accidents, or even a mixture. It doesn't show a lack of research to mispronounce a word. Even with research you're only going to be reading the word which doesn't give the proper way to pronounce it. I thought words were said differently than they were a lot thanks to only reading them. Nothing in the spelling of Thames screams it should be pronounced tems. This is what I was stating, don't try to derail with something I never said.
