A tip during tornado: find a room where there are no windows Tip 2: get a lot of healthy food and some snacks Tip 3: Get pillows and blankets to keep urself warm. Tip 4: get light For me I'd get 5 bottles of water 2 blankets and 2 pillows and 5 healthy food and 3 snacks. Id be in a small room where i put coats and boots

Notice: If you are going to survive a Weather Hazard, you must get at least two months worth of food and water or more because you will not be able to exit the fallout shelter during the extreme weather. Extreme weather can last up to a few months so you should get a reliable electricity supply, flashlights with batteries in the event of electrical failure, if possible an emergency generator. And a mini-fridge in case you need to store food. Ensure you have ANY communication device or radio with direct communication with government authorities or anyone else so you know when it is safe to come out of the shelter. Ensure you have extra batteries for the radio to last at least 3 months. If you manage to follow these steps, you should be safe. Also, ENSURE the shelter is 6-7 ft deep or more to ensure the safety and efficiency of your shelter.

As an Oklahoman who has been through some catastrophic storms, I recommend getting a weather radio to stay informed about the local weather whenever the power goes out. I recommend getting a Midland WR-120, as I have one in my room, and if you put new batteries in it, it can notify you about weather for up to 5 hours unplugged from a power source.
