If money wasn't a factor, I'd use the 20 Ultra. Kind of ridiculous how expensive it is still, even used and refurbished. But overall best value is the Note 10+. Still modern, with great camera and specs and not outdated. I got another one recently from Samsungs CPO program for 260 which is an unbeatable deal for what you get.

If you live in the US it seems like the Note 20U is about $550 on Amazon renewed now. I was debating about 20U and the 10+. I wished they gave the 20U four years OS updates. So for about $200 more than the 10+ I could buy the 20U. I think I will pick it up. Maybe there will be a deal for prime day. I think with the additional features it worth the extra $200 something more: 120 hz, 5G, esim, and all hardware bumps.

First off, this was a great if not one of the best comparison videos I've seen so far. So kudos 👏 🙌 👌🏽. But everything you've mentioned is why I'm having a hard time with this"upgrade" from the Note 20 Ultra 5G to the S22 Ultra. I'm really doing it because the buyback program with Samsung is so sweet. And I know I'll keep the S22 for around 2 years and upgrade again. But really with the screen size, subpar speakers and battery life I'm starting to feel a bit duped. Plus no more MST and although the 256 Gigs I ordered will be enough storage for me it just all feels a bit down graded. But we'll see once it arrives. Thanks.

One detail, only the black Note 20 Ultra is a fingerprint magnet, other variants are resistant (I have the bronze version). And the camera is better than in the Note 9 except when taking document photos (like IDs, passports) up close... The Note 20 Ultra can't match what the Note 9 can do which is weird but it's true and I miss those photos because I have to take a lot of them. With Note 20 Ultra I have to play with zoom to be able to take a readable photo while Note 9 handles it perfectly on default (automatic) mode even better than Note 20 with its zoom. Idk why that is... And the last thing, I miss the Note 9 S-Pen placement on the right, it's cumbersome taking it out from the left side. Plus the speaker is now on the left so I can't even game without earphones because then I'm covering the speaker and don't hear anything... the Note 9 may be showing its age now but it was better in some ways. Yeah and unlocking the Note 20 Ultra is also worse than the Note 9. Plus there is no more heart-rate and blood oxygen sensor so you have to buy a smartwatch, and there is no 3.5 mm jack (not a problem for me personally but for some others...) PS.: good video

the problem with documents is because on the note 20 the main sensor uses laser auto focus instead of the pdaf and the 0.3 septh sensor, that will also be an issue in s22 ultra since it uses the laser auto focus

Just upgraded from Note 10+ to S22 Ultra recently Felt 2 downgrades immediately: No Expandable Storage Less Loud Speakers Battery life has improved since unboxing and is definitely better than Note 10+ But is not very good for the price paid. In fact, its quite an average battery life. Camera is a great update and this rectangular powerhouse boasts of a very good portrait mode

i had a note 8 it cracked then i got a moto g7 play for christmas of 2019. Hated it. Major downgrade then the year after, i got a iphone 8 plus, i wanted the note 20 ultra that year but j got the iphone instead. It wasn’t for me, i found myself missing the note. I want the note 20 ultra again and hopefully if i change my mind about the s22 ultra to the note 20 ultra or at least after graduation when i go to t-mobile, i would receive the note 20 ultra.

I honestly agree when the note 20 came out the s9 and note 9 was still supported and when extra year of gets accounced they should announce it for all the flagship supporting during the current time. For example the s9 and note 9 should've ended at one ui 3 android 11 and now samsung announced 4 years of support the s10 and note 10 should get one ui 5 android 13.

I agree the Note 9 got shafted. Even the Note 20U is shafted. Only s21 and up lines get four years of major OS support and five years of security patches. The Note 10 and 20 will only get 3 major OS updates and 4 years of security patches. Planning on getting the Note 20U even though I will get shafted. Maybe Samsung will change their minds and include the Note 20U since it was a pretty expensive device. They gave the s7 close to five years of security patches for some odd reason.

Get the s21 U its way better and will get 3-4 more os updates the note 20 U is at its last leg and in under a year getting booted from support. I know s21 ultra doesn't have an spen slot or boxy design but you get all the spen features that s22 ultra has with the spen pro and you get the same latency as well as it having AI tech. Or you can wait few more months and buy the s22 ultra cheaper. Note 20 ultra still cost 750-850 brand new and 650 used which is alot for a used phone that is on its last leg with software support. Get the s21 U or s22 U after a few months

Also they should but the life of their fe a year shorter than flagship cause your paying more cash. Just like apple samsung should support the whole line up rather than basing Years of os. Since the s10 lite and note 10 lite and tab s6 lite belong in the flagship family of 2019 despite released in 2020 the 2019 flagship should end of on the same version. Meaning give them android 13 and cut of 2019 flagship and 2020 lite varient of these flagships with Android 14. They should've made 3 years of os and 4 years of security patch the base rather than doing it for every device. The tab s7 fe is getting Android 14 while it's premium brothers won't so support the tab s7 series and note 20 series with Android 14 and drop them all at once same applies with s21 fe. They should guartee 4 years of full os and 5 years of security update as minimum but support the whole line up. Note 20 ultra if you value expandable storage like I do. Note 20 ultra also has better speakers and I found mine open box for just a little over $600 so it was definitely the right decision for me. Either way I don't necessarily think you'll be disappointed with either phone but as of this moment the note 20 ultra is the better value in my opinion.

I had the Xiaomi mi 11 Ultra, in my opinion, i experienced the 120hz and it's a gimmick to be honest. In normal day use people don't scroll that fast to the buttom of a page, you can't see every post correctly and why would you do that unless you want to exactly notice that smoothness, same for side scrolling the main screen cause when you want an app or a widget you just scroll once. My Mi 11 ultra broke the wifi module and i got a refund and went to my backup phone, Poco M3 and i don't feel i needed the 120hz back. I now bought a used Note 10+ Exynos for 400€, minding the price also, and not caring about the Note 20 120hz, also the base model of note10+ was 12gb256gb while the other had 8gb128gb so it's a very good deal.

Currently I have the 9, is my last note sadly since Samsung charges a lot for new phones specially here in South America. The other drawback is the shady praciteces Samsung does on its users, they are slowing down devices because they want the devices to last longer, but that is not their desicion, F that. The prizes again are crazy, since the rate of conversion is 4 x 1 to my currency, so everything from outside cost 4 times more, that's too much money for anyone.

The S22 ultra should replicate the note 20 ultra design taller thinner will be comfortable to hold on hand. The S22 ultra is too wide not good for gaming

@@I_m_pelumi Maybe he's referring to the unique design pattern they gave the Note 10. People loved that design. Reviewers did anyway.
