I can't explain how much I love this movie. I'm a huge Xavier Dolan fan. Love all his movies and watch each one multiple times. The chemistry between these characters is so intense. That kissing scene,I have played over and over. So amazing. Great edit and music is brilliant. And from this movie I also found Je cherche by Amir. I listen to it on repeat

What's there to say when it's directed by Xavier Dolan himself. The movie flows in the smoothest way possible and melts into your soul. As for me personally, every emotion I couldn't express or never had the chance to show, was portrayed by the movie as if it was filling empty dots. It felt cozy, warm and sensational.

This is SUCH a good edit, great song choice, you really kept the essence of the movie while matching it to the song like a music video. This movie devastated me when I first watched it during the pandemic. I’d had a friend breakup with feelings attached just like this except mine didn’t have a happy ending and the way It brought up the feelings I’d been carrying for a whole and made me cry was so cathartic, it was the first time I’d felt true relief from the situation in years almost. Holds a special place in my heart

that last angst scene about the reccomendation letter, i needed to stopped and cry and then when I was done, I finished it and I was crying again because of the hopeful ending 🥰🥰🥰🥰, love this movie sooo much and even if I don't like open endings that much, at least is not an ending where someone dies or gets back with the gf or it's implied that it was a one sided thing and it's horrible

I couldn't disagree more - this ending left so much for the viewer to make up for themselves. For me Matt came for Max and they spent the weekend together as Max wanted before he went to Australia (if he even ended up there because I have a feeling they could have taken their relationship to another level). It shows that everyone around those two knows about their feelings, even Matt's girlfriend who took him by force to Max's goodbye party. Matt just needed more time to understand what was it that he felt for Max - and he did finally get it if he came to pick him up from the house.
