Dude! I have this guitar in my garage...I got it some years ago and it was in bad shape .... I took it apart to rebuild it with parts I’ve been finding on the web. It’s awesome to see one in tact.

I'm looking for a wiring diagram for this, if you can let me know, thk u.

I have basically the same one too. It's been floating around since I was a kid in the 70's. Mine has a Strat style headstock though. Need to figure out the wiring too. Something whacky going on in there. Also need to find the wiggle stick. Any ideas or websites???

My first electric guitar
@christianboddum87835 жыл бұрын
I finally found one this year after a long time searching. I had one as my first electric in my teens, I detroyed it dumb as I was. I remembered the sound well. The neck pickup is especially nice. My "new" one, had new frets and waxed pickups, so that was good. I still had to do some mods. I got a roller bridge from Rockinger guitars, and pinned it after intonation. I replaced the tuners to a set of Kluson vintage tulips-style, which was drop-in replacement. I took the whammy bar off, as it doesn't keep in tune. But now it is a sweet and unique player. Thinking of trying flatwounds on it, to get a Cooderish vibe going ;-) A little update: I changed to Thomastik-Infeld Jazz swing JS-110 flatwounds 10-44 to complete the sweet vintage character.

I know where there's one right now in a pawn shop for 40bucks. It needs work, should i get it?
@christianboddum87834 жыл бұрын
@@rage.against.the.regime1913 If you need it, get it. Somebody else might need it if you don't . That aside, I just added locking tuners and removed the zerofret, as it needs all the help it can get regarding tuning stability, and I think it will be fine now. ;-)

@@christianboddum8783 ok, I'll go back by there. It's a cool looking guitar, though it will definitely be a project, lol. I do remember the finish on the outside is peeling, I guess it would be the veneer, it's a hollow body. What would you recommend in fixing it, or can it be fixed. That's 1 reason I didn't get it. Can that be fixed? Thanks for the quick reply Christian, Jonathan.
@christianboddum87834 жыл бұрын
@@rage.against.the.regime1913 Hi! I'm a little late now, but the finish is not nitro so you can choose stop the finish peeling different ways. So you can choose to just stop the peeling by using thin superglue (exess can be wiped off with acetone) or proceed with light sanding. For spot touch ups you can probably find a nail lacquer that fits, for red I found Amsterdam acrylic ink no. 399 that got me quite close FWIW

I guess you are referring to the fret up by the headstock? Just what are they for?
@darwinsaye3 ай бұрын
@@afreezaphorogiancossack2194A zero fret does the same job as what a nut would do. It is where the strings sit instead of in the nut - the nut here only serves the purpose of holding the strings in place. The main difference is that it is at the same height as all the other frets so you won’t have intonation issues when playing open chords.
