I just found your channel on Rumble, decided to subscribe on your UTube channel. I watched LivePD and K-9 competitions. I love animals, so I adore K-9’s! Beautiful retirement. I found a K-9 card in a book that I had checked out from our library. What were the odds that I would participate in our County Police Citizen’s Police Academy and meet this K-9 and his handler. I even have the Sergeants signature and a personal picture with them. I was a Volunteer in Police Service and for 17 years I served as a School Crossing Guard under our County Police Department for three different schools and loved it. Just retired this past February. Thank you and K-9 Officer (Ret.) for your service and sacrifice to keep us safe. Blessings to you and your family.💙🐕💙

He had me crying 😭 as a Wife and little Sister of 3 older Brothers I know it takes a lot to make a Man cry and when they do you wrap your arms around them and never let go as a younger sister I’ve watched my Brothers brought down to their knees my Eldest lost his 3 week old Son to SIDS my second to the eldest recently lost his 24 year old Daughter to cancer she left behind a Husband and 2 very young children my 3rd Brother lost his Rose and I held their hands and hugged onto them like there was no tomorrow so if you have a Brother an Uncle you hug them hard 😀 Officers like these and their K/9 Officers are rare and what a privilege it must be to know any of them personally 😇

I have a service dog myself. It is amazing how k-9s are able to bring humanity to people and people together. Mattison is gorgeous and makes me think of my previous service dog that I had for 11yrs. He was a big dog to, an English mastiff. They seem to make great service dogs but they never lose the hyperness. It is the same as the chocolate lab that I rescued and am training now to over the services that my previous one use to do. It is hard seeing a new puppy doing the tasks, however, the personality of my new pup is sooo great (even after being beaten and tried to a fence at an elementary school, then harassed until picked up by animal control) that i find myself completely attached and in love with him. All his wounds are now healed and with still a month until 2years he is well over 100 lbs. He is a BIG and smart boy. He learns really fast. And is really fun to play with but he knows no play till work is done 😉We have all the basic commands learned and discovered that he detects increased blood pressure and signals for me to admin medication. He also detects seizures heards me to a chair or prevents me from standing. God put a very special animal in my path. And I remember being nervous about how nippy and hyper he was; that I almost did not adopt him. But I asked him "do you want to come home?" Can you believe he came and sat at my feet. At that moment before I thought anything else I signed papers and put him in the back of my truck. All the way home I had a big a$$ puppy sitting up with a toothy grin and a tongue hanging out. I had to stop looking out my mirror cause it made me laugh 🤣 He was letting the world know how happy he was. Even now multiple times a day he tries to persuade me that he is a lap dog or that he is Megadon the bed 🦈 and he "swims" on the bed laughing the whole time. It is hysterical and brings laughter to the whole family. However the bed is ALWAYS getting remade 🤣🤣🤣 Now that Mattis is retired I hope that ya'll can continue the special home bond that you both have and not have the stresses of work. He will still be a service to you but in a different aspect. He will be there for when you come home and to relieve your anxiety and stress. You both will always be partners that is evident in watching your relationship. Good luck and God Bless 🙏

New partners are hard to get used to. Mine just happens to be a service dog it wasn't that my other one was ready for retirement it was that my health required more. So instead of just a medical alert dog I had to upgrade to a medical alert and assistance dog. It was rough in the beginning but she's a quick learner and is always there right next to me and fit into the pact with the other three. You and Mattis can have new adventures doing other things now. Our first service dog it only took him a week to get used to retirement with my second one it wasn't time for him to retire so for the past two-and-a-half years and he still doesn't like it. By the way my GS and my service dog both like watching America's Top Dog and the GS gets all excited every time there's another one on TV.
