John Honkai is only canon in the simulation. Leylah actually wanted a male variant when she uses the Dreamseeker system. The real Dreamseeker is female by default.

You know that's just an excuse made by hoyo right?😅 Apparently they want to give the male version a better chance to exist, but that means they have to fight an entire messed up in the head cn community for it and it wouldn't be profitable of a move on their part so they had to come up with some sort of excuse for it. 😅
