So apparently there are remote reservoir mounts that attach to the Genuine Harley-Davidson Docking hardware. No need to sacrifice the passenger back rest and/or possibly the tour pack. My mistake for not researching this more before I opened my big mouth.

I think if they had some kind of protective cover over them. It just looks too easy to cut with a pair of snippers and ruin your day. I DID like how it performed when you rode it though! Mucho Power at the twist of the throttle! Not much twist either I suspect with that setup of a Stage 3! It was effortless to step away from your extra cameraman, and he's not riding a slouch either!

Hi Matt, love that 2 into 1 sound. I have a May 2017 RGS stage 3 from new with V&H power duals/titans (nice deep sound and good performance- but I love 2 into 1). 12 months ago my bike had to undergo a rebuild due to sumping problems allegedly from the original oil pump not being up to stage 3 or 4 needs. Installed was An upgraded oil pump, backing plate, clutch, pistons and sleeves, adjustable pushrods and a few other smaller bits. Mileage at that time was 20,000mi. Ran heaps better for a while until a few weeks ago, and another 5000mi when the clackety clack noise returned, now back in the shop. Maybe it is something in the cam chain tensioner stuck, or maybe the oil pump again. I am told HD have a 5th revision of the M8 oil pump that is completely different to everything before. it’s a real pain, I hope you guys haven’t encountered similar problems, if so would appreciate knowing what the solution is. Thanks for the video, now I want Ohlins and a 2 into 1!!!

But I'm not a fan of the of the Reservoirs location at all. I like the T'Bar Style with the Fly-Bars I would go W/the Lower Rise. I'm a Moto-X Vet of Many Yrs. I love the Shorter Bags for a better lean angle for cornering because I am a fairly aggressive rider in the Twisties as my other bike is a CBR HRC 1000RR SP Which comes with full Ohlins Suspension. @TH3G0ODGUY 5 жыл бұрын
No, only using a non Harley tuner will void the powertrain warranty. It does open you up for the potential of denied claims though, for example if the exhaust gaskets failed Harley would likely say it's because you didn't use their pipe. Keep in mind there is a big difference between a voided warranty and opening yourself up to a potential denied claim.

Damn! That is sweet! I want some type of upgrade on my Electra Glide. I would like apes just to see the screen better. One of the first videos I've seen Andrew with no gloves.

The exhaust does it have the cat in it or is this the race only?

I agree with you, Matt, about the Öhlins being an option in the parts catalog or it could be an opportunity for Harley Davidson to swap suspension brands from Showa to Öhlins. That would be a big deal in my book. I own a 2018 Fat Bob with the Öhlins fork cartridge kit and Öhlins monoshock I ordered from Revzilla. Shout-out from Chicago! - Cam

Hey Matt I no this is an older vid but I’m stuck between the T bars or factory 47 14” apes. My question is how comfortable are these T bars on longer rides? And what’s your opinion as far as what’s better for longer distance comfort? Thanks for the videos and your help

As for this style of bike... I can definitely say that guys that are coming from sport bikes, will gravitate towards a sport bagger. I am hitting the overtime hard, so I can get exactly what I want for my build.

Does that s&s exhaust keep the warranty intact because it's epa compliant
@MattLaidlaw
@MattLaidlaw 5 жыл бұрын
We used a Harley tuner. That’s the main reason the warranty will be intact. It has nothing to do with the exhaust is CARB compliant.

Love the vids, I’ll probably head this route. Two questions, can you put shock extensions on non ohlins shocks? And, what would be a cheaper alternative to inverted forks?

So i'm thinking of buying a 2020 road glide . I'm considering the special with the 114 but not sure I like the blacked out look of the engine. I like the chrome colour mix of the road glide standard. One of my main concerns in the motor. How does the 107 stage 3 compare to a stock 114 ? Am I correct assuming the 107 stage 3 is equal or slightly better then a stock 114?
@MattLaidlaw
@MattLaidlaw 5 жыл бұрын
The stage 3 107 (114) is way faster than the factory 114. It isn’t slightly better. It’s WAY more powerful.

I would chop the rear fender a lil, use the rear break light that’s also turn signals and plate light all in one, put scrap plate on, shorten exhaust pipe, chop bottom back corner on bags a lil, some fender and engine lights, front and rear crash sliders, and secondary lights and the speed king shorty levers, also their gauge relocation kit and I’d call her perfect, she looks and sounds great already though, she handles like a sportster!! I love it lol maybe chop the front fender and add a custom skid plate, some 90/10 tires too, one badass build
