9 out of 10 people I speak with are flipping over the Mako. To me, it looks less "factory" then the other 2 options, and more "custom".

All 3 colors look amazing, but I just purchased the lightening silver/charred steel. In my humble opinion, its the best color. I am coming from a CVO street glide and so far I love the road glide better. I now understand what people mean by once you drive a road glide, nothing else compares. Great review Matt.

Great videos Matt, thank you for taking the time to create them. I'm selling my '18 Anniversary Breakout, and picking up a '19 CVO Road Glide in Mako. My first bagger. I listed out all the options I would have put on a stock RGS, and for the money, CVO seems to be the move. All factory, no aftermarket. When I add up all the parts and labor, CVO was the clear winner.

I agree that they knocked it out of the park with the Road Glides this year with the paint schemes and front 'fang'. I like all three equally but that Mako paint is darn slick. Would love to see that bike in person, outside on a sunny day; it seems to change color. Absolutely beautiful bikes!

These are the first Road Glides I've ever looked at and thought he'll ya that's nice! The fairing was just awkward but the combination of the fairing extenders and the 21" really makes it look just right. Those colours too!

After wrecking my 2018 CVO Limited I'm now getting a built, CVO Road Glide, 124ci, battleship grey. I've heard nothing but great things about when the M8 is opened up. Great videos Matt, people will either love or hate Harley's no matter what they do. You getting a pretty damn fantastic looking and performing bike for 43K. Best looking, non-custom bikes around. Keep the good work up, try and ride one with a built 124....143hp 148ftlbs!!!

Graphics and paint this year on the RG CVOs are epic! They should have kept the nostalgic 1 on the mako shark fade as well. I'm partial to the lightning silver/magnetic grey paint but would much prefer it blacked out. To choose for order, for me, the clear winner would be the red pepper and magnetic grey. I already own an SG and have been wanting to get into a shark nose. This year's CVO RGs are stand out.

I just bought the lightning silver road glide 2019 love the bike all the colors are really nice I think I could’ve been happy with any of the three colors at the dealership in Bellevue Washington and just had one and that was the lightning sliver CVO roadglide so I took that one.

Okay its 2022 now but i’d like to comment on this video though: i prefer the 2019 Roadglide. The colours, fairing extension and the 21 inch front wheel fills the gap between the back of the front femder and frame more nice than a streetglide with the smaller front wheel. Do not care much of the difference in sound system. To pick a colour, is so hard! They are all so nice! Great review as always. Keep up the good work! Definitely nice but 42 racks? Geez.The thing I don’t understand is how Harley wholeheartedly understands that the well is drying up but they continue to pump out 40 grand bikes. I came to realize it wasn’t worth it anymore when on was on my new16 flhtk and my buddy was on his used 08 ultra .. I said to myself damn I’m paying a lot just to go 60 mph next to a guy that’s paying nothing and we are having the same exact experience. That was my 4th and last harley haven’t looked back since new Harley’s baggers make absolutely no since. It was a expensive lesson to learn but I have seen the light lol

I'm with you. It just shows you how cheap money is to buy... still. "Yeah I gotta 16 year loan on my bike" ha! They do look cool! But as a mainstream offer they should offer a ride in the sub 20's. And produce maybe 1500 of these nearly 50k bikes just for the folks who own most of the stock.

Typical HD tactics, slap a new color on, call it a new name they think sounds cool and inflate the price more .... unfortunately, there are always suckers available for the seat. CVOs are more hype than anything imo. I made the mistake of buying a CVO in '05 and it was the biggest pos I ever owned from HD. Sure it looked pretty, but that was the only good thing I have to say about it. I think back then they got their chrome and some parts from the lowest bidder overseas just like they still do today. After all, I thought when I paid for the "best of the best" the chrome would never peel off my meticulously maintained bike that was pampered and always garage kept. I guess fancy paint, bits and pieces are more important than building a bike with QUALITY that is worthy of the price you are being gouged for doesn't matter to HD anymore. My '14 Ultra is 10 times the bike my old CVO ever was or could be and also the last time HD will ever get my money for a new one.

I Think the red and gray has a real Roland Sands vibe.. my favorite of the 3I have to say if someone showed me the Mako Fade by itself I would be blow away, but that "!" on the tank of the red/Gray just gets me.. Sharp

I haven't ridden a CVO, but have ridden a few new Road Glides and Street Glides over the last 12 months. I don't know how people can say the Street Glide handles better. I think this is subjective and depends on your riding style. IMO, the Road Glide feels lighter in the front end/steering and turns in quicker and more direct. Also feels more stable at speed in a straight line. Oh yea, and I prefer the Mako fade color too! The CVO's go for $50, 500 in Australia.

Mako Fade Road Glide, for sure! If I could afford it, that would be in my garage right now! As it is, I'm probably going to get the FLTRXS in the Industrial Grey Denim, add the spoiler, do the Stage III, and some bars. That’s the first time I actually like a Road Glide. The fairing spoiler is just what the standard (and special) Road Glide needs. Otherwise looks like a big shark head hanging on top of the bike. The fairing spoiler balance it very good. So good that I’m considering get a Road Glide Special and add it. The grey and red paint is just amazing too. I wished they still have the wicked red (non denim) available for the RGS.

Thanks for bringing us along with you Matt. No one else has ever done anything like what you have done with your channel giving regular riders all access into the dealer only world that we normally would never hear or see . Keep up the excellent work brother . Yes sir you took the words out of my brain. I'm a Dyna guy but when it comes to touring I have always preferred the StreetGlide . Like you said though they knocked it out the park with the new CVO RoadGlide in every aspect. IMO the 2019 oem paint schemes are the best to date. No one beats HD when it comes to fit & finish. I really hope some of these colors & schemes (like the no chrome all blacked out look) will filter down to the new softtails. Especially the lowrider but also the sportglide & streetbob . I'm sure the motor company now knows your the man to see when it comes to customer feedback. So let them know they need to come out with more stock from the factory blacked out models .

Incredible looking bikes. I’m torn between my next bike. I’m looking at a Road King Special, Street Glide Special and a Road Glide Special. I never would’ve considered a Road Glide Special but the test rides I’ve seen have been so positive and I already have a 2015 Street Glide Special so I need to test ride a Road Glide Special and Road King Special before I purchase. Thanks for another great review Matt. Beautiful machines. I’m personally a Roadglide guy however I’m not a fan of the 21” wheel. Specially because of the sacrifice made in ride quality. I buy mine to ride it and find the 19” enforcer wheel is a great compromise on my 16’ RG Ultra. Love the blue with the chrome. That would be my choice. No doubt the price tag is high however it’s a high end luxury performance machine made in limited numbers and they’ll sell everyone they make. Not for me but definitely a dream machine.

Road Glide this year did it! All of them...Harry Winston diamonds look ''fugazi'' next to these work of art bikes. Love them!!! You should trade your Storm Trooper, Matt lol I love the blacked out movement but even the silver one with all the chrome, on the RG looks insane! I've never been more confused as to which one I would prefer, color wise. I would still go with Mako Fade!

I’ve had some nice Harley bikes over the years but have never had a CVO yet. My first Road Glide was a 2017 Road Glide Special in hard candy red custom. Beautiful bike so my search is on for a CVO Road Glide. Problem is the the 15 and newer are still pretty expensive and I have a 2021 Triglide Ultra to pay for I bought for my wife.

The Fade - all the way! Re: no Twin Cooling.... maybe because of style - fairing spoilers, low profile engine guard = no fairing lowers = no built in radiators. I'm a Road Glide fan, but I'd take the Street Glide here for the audio and handling. I'm not a fan of the 'big wheel' look. But that Fade... wow.

Hey Matt .... per your preference request ... my choice would be the Street Glide for overall bike . I have owned both a 2017 Street Glide Special and a 2015 Road Glide Special. I found the Street Glide more ergonomically fitted to my bod-type (5' 11"") (70 years old). For the 2019 models Road Glide paint schemes I would prefer the L ightning Silver/Charred Steel/Chrome . If I were to purchase a 2019 CVO I would go with the Street Glide . FYI I currently ride a recently (4 MONTHS) purchased 2018 TRIGLIDE ULTRA. I have added the Stage I Heavy Breather Kit - the Vance & Hines Slipons and the Stage II Torque Cam Kit. I purchased the TriGlide due to age and knee joint issues or I would still be riding my 2017 Street Glide. I do four to five interstate road trips a year. Really like the red pepper, mag grey color scheme, it will stand the test of time, and soon be a collector(s) item. The Full Moon Lit Mako Shark Cobalt Blue (yes, my favorite so I named the color) is understated, my style. Although, I would swap out the bars for the full blown chrome...love those bars and I really don't like that much chrome. But I think the chrome bars with light tan leather grips speaks to me, yes, because im a goof.

Hi Matt. Great video as always. I’m not digging the paint this year particularly don’t like the “1” graphic. I may change my mind when I see them at the dealers but not sure when we will get them in the UK. Glad I bought my Black Earth/Vivid Black SERG. Initially I didn’t like the fairing spoiler but it has grown on me. Some guys on the forums have ordered Vivid Black ones for their Black Earth bikes so will see what they look like before ordering. Keep up the good work I know a lot of guys here in the UK love your channel.

I saw the Mako Shark Fade RG CVO at the Oakland HD dealer earlier in the week while they were prepping it. That bike didn't even last a couple days before someone bought it. The paint was incredible, hands down the nicest CVO I've ever seen. HD has really stepped up their game with the CVO's the last two years. During the dealer show, I thought I heard someone say the 2019 CVO 117's were a new version of the 117...I thought they said it is now basically what last years Stage IV 117 was. Is this true? or was I dreaming? I looked at the new screaming eagle parts catalog and see the stage IV kit for the 2019 117 is a new part number, so perhaps it is true?

Red Pepper - magnetic grey and black hole is amazing! Probably the best looking of the 3. That color combo and options makes me really want that Road Glide but I am also a traditional Street Glide rider. It would be wild to see Matt on one of these instead of a Street Glide ! I have the gun ship grey and I thought that might be the best color HD might produce , but I was wrong , the blue black this year is lit !!!!!! I agree with you the road glide leads for 2019 ,I’ve always had SG for many years , but 2018 I switched to RG Man this bike is sick , the road Glide cvo by far is the most sexiest bike ever made by HD ,secret weapon of Harley , and this new fender underneath the fairing looks even sexier ,.
