The Laidlaw's Harley-Davidson crew sets off to ride one of the most scenic roads in America - the Hwy 89A. This road travels through Sedona which is one of the top tourist destinations in Arizona. The guys travel to Laughlin, Nevada where they stay the first night. The next day is a beautiful ride to Flag Staff then south down 89A. Follow along in this documentary style series capturing the most popular motorcycle roads in America. It's best experienced on two wheels!

Lived in Arizona for 28 years, 21 in Prescott. Hit all 4 corners of Arizona, but the switchbacks around Prescott, ghost towns like Jerome, and the beautiful red rock of Sedona, taking Oak Creek Canyon to Flagstaff has got to be in the top rides ever! Btw, living there made Jerome a weekend favorite 😎

Im from Australia. In 2004 i did 89A from Prescott to Flagstaff. I remember it being an amazing journey for a 22 year old but i never appreciated how special this area truely is. As a 42 year old now i really want to go back and take this all in with older eyes. Thank you Matt for sharing this and bring back those wonderful memories

Sedona , Jerome and the surrounding area is one of my favorite places i've been . 1st time i was there was 1966 , Sedona was just the main street with a dozen or so shops and a few houses on side streets . most recent time was 4 years ago , oh boy what a change ! still the most gorgeous scenery , spent three days there hiking the hills and shopping for Navajo jewelery . even ate at that pizza place ! and Jerome is interesting for sure . sadly i've never been there on a motorcycle . it's on the bucket list for sure . great trip , great video .

Rode 89a in 2021 from Sedona to Flagstaff. Staying at Williams. Liked it so much went back the next day with my helmet cam and rode it again. The first day my gf was with me and I bought her a necklace from one of the native American vendors at that scenic stop. Great road!

Matt, glad you guys got to come and visit my new hometown. I moved from San Diego to Prescott a few years ago because the riding here is amazing. No matter which direction you choose, you're going to have a scenic adventure. What you guys missed on 89A are the incredible OHV trails. You can take your Pan Am from Jerome to Route 66 in Williams on OHV roads. Get the book "Ride the Arizona Backroads".

I lived in the Phoenix valley (Scottsdale and Fountain Hills) for over 15 years. We loved every minute of it. The motorcycling is epic. Be sure to make the run from Morenci to Alpine on US 191 in the eastern part of the state. Think 90 miles of Tail of the Dragon at 8000-9000 feet elevation with 100 mile vistas across the valley to the west.

When I came home from Iraq me young son Nate and I went out there. It was one of the most memorable of all our rides. The pine forests in Arizona are more precious than gold, and every memory of that is too. The 89 is a remnant of the old Pony Express trail. Arizona is incredible. It is as close to California as I have ever been too, one of the road signs indicated the Los Angeles exit… …I took a picture of it, probably not, but, maybe, someday.

After living in AZ for 20 years, I am finally going to do that ride next month with my buddy from San DIego. We will start off in Lake Havasu City and ride to Topoc. From there we will take 66 as much as possible to Williams for the night. The next day we will ride to the Grand Canyon then work our way down 89 through Cameron into Flagstaff. From there 89a to Sedona and Jerome stopping in Prescott for the night. Day three we will ride to Quartzsite. We will split off in Quartzsite; he will ride back to San Diego and I'll ride to home in Havasu.

Nice job on this video. I live in the area and have ridden Oak Creek Canyon and Sedona on 89A many times. I agree that it is a beautiful ride. The ride above Jerome over Mingus is just as breath taking. I thought the same thing when you went to play blackjack. After a over a half century of road trips what you use up on one day you lose the next day. The only exception is the last day of a trip you can stretch it out but during the trip it just doesn't work out. Good luck to you and remember you are invisible to cages so ride accordingly.

Great video. My daughter moved to Prescott about a year ago, so I’ve had the pleasure of riding some of those beautiful roads whenever I go there to visit her. I took a wrong turn into the house area and couldn’t find a way back out of there until a guy came out of his house yelling “you don’t belong here”. He gave me directions to get back on the main road. Being from Nevada for the past 40 years, I’ve ridden through some weird towns, but Jerome took weird to an-entire new level. You guys should have spent some time on Whiskey Row in downtown Prescott. They have some great bars there and a lot of history. Again you did a great job on this video. It almost felt like I was riding with y’all. Ride safe.
