Sometimes talking about reality is a must even if we don't like it and ignoring situations that can be problematic is just flat out not that intelligent. Honestly man, I've seen a lot of personal growth in you this year and you are understanding yourself a lot more, which is very important. Find your own path with this car to really enjoy it. Otherwise you may get so bored of it, that it might be next on the chopping block. You are right about focusing on chasing E36 perfection (suspension, ride height, wheels, seats, stereo etc.). Once dialed in, you will be happier, as of right now you seem defeated with it.

The Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 will look period correct'ish and does 4V lineouts plus modern connectivity. On the PCCM are you using the line outs or the speaker outs? IIRC the PCCM has line outs, but you need to use a special adapter - given the folks who did it I'm sure they are using line outs, but just in case.

I run bbs on my car, still had to run a 5mm spacer in the rear ( pretty aggressive setup I have, going to trade the car in shortly so we’ll see on the next one, but anyway ) you gotta go 3piece if you want the perfect setup with bbs’s but definitely gotta pay for it😅 AR motorwerkz is king of bbs, imho

Isn't it the best going for a drive after a wash? Nothing better than driving a freshly "detailed" car. Agee for the most part of what you were saying near the end, as an example, our liberal (Canadian) government just implemented luxury tax on cars > 100k, so additional 10% tax on total or 20% on greater than 100k. The M3 Comp Jahre Edition here is 115k + options, so ends up being 122k plus 15% HST for my spec. So another ~$4600 + 15% because I'm rich LOL. Nope, just middle class who has saved very long time to get my dream car. And what does our Gov't say, I'm rich because I can afford this car, so I should share. Not a good place to be! Might end up cancelling the order.

I'm not into real estate. Don't like the idea of being a landlord, either. Much too lazy to manage a business. Don't have the insider knowledge to be a day trader. Despise the predations of Turo on the small business owner. I like the idea of cashing in on social security benefits and stocks but realize it now as a vig paid to the taxpayer, to keep us complacent into elder life and death -- just enough not to use the waning years of our virility to revolt and tear it all down. So what do I like. I like the consumer product videos, 1hr drives, and wash-and-talks of Obsessed Garage. I like the projects and I one day may buy the items to try the projects for myself.

Hahaha politics and economy. Been a life-long Republican, but haven’t always sided with Republican views and/or laws. In fact, I did NOT vote for Trump. Even though I am a Republican, I do not ONLY see red. It’s not one or the other, for me. I’m for what ever or whom ever is best for us (you know, people in general). Side note, I do NOT have a Peloton and I can actually throw a baseball and catch a football without using my face. Not an alpha male but “ish” … you know? 50 years old but in shape because I’m active and eat healthy while still working out. I still do most of my boxing routines even though I haven’t seen a ring in 20 years. I run, lift, all that. It’s therapeutic in more ways than I can count. I believe each of us have our path … you just have to follow it. Wealth. Not having it. Not because I can’t generate that kind of money but because I don’t want to put in that kind of work. I’m happy with being financially comfortable and responsible. I don’t need anything else. I invest in things that serve me and my family. I use my phone for YEARS before I upgrade, not 6 months. I don’t buy the latest fashion. I don’t care about the latest and greatest. That is, unless it serves me or my family. It’s why I’m never out of money yet I can buy bigger ticket items when I NEED them. Race = no comment. Sex = no comment. Gender = no comment. Religion = no comment. I believe everyone should be entitled to their own views on just about everything. As long as it does not interfere with the wellness of others. Live and let live but don’t tread on me. Honestly it's not a great economic take. The loose cash policies over the last 15 years are what gave consumers the confidence to spend soo much on our garage toys.
