I feel exactly the same about brake buster. Used to do the adams combo...realizing my wheels never get awful since the cars are washed at least once a week, there is no need for an iron remover every wash. Even works well on hammered wheels too. Also saves the time of spraying the tires with a diff product. Just throw it in the foamer and foam! Thanks for all of this Matt!!

The EZ Detail brushes are the best period. I've been using them for years and years. They'll last forever if you don't bend them and several years if you constantly bend them to get behind the spokes. They're soft enough that they won't scratch yet strong enough to agiate stubborn brake dust. Everyone else just copied them.

THANK YOU MATT!!! for going in detail on all the products you used previously and why you changed them. That adds FAR MORE VALUE rather than stating that it's better compared to "everything" . When other reviewers on KZbin state they compared products to "everything", it really is meaningless unless they list out all the products it is being compared to. In my opinion "everything" is != to all the products I or others may have used. New products are introduced constantly. "everything" = "none". Once again thank you for going through all the products you previously used!

@motiOn7325 жыл бұрын
I think the key distinction is maintenance vs deep clean. PS, I'd imagine, will do better for a maintenance wash and not kill all of your dressing, while Adam's is much more aggressive

@phasmata38135 жыл бұрын
It does use dipropylene glycol monomethyl ether which is a solvent that can be problematic, but not being a professional chemist, I'm not going to say whether or not it is a problem in this context and in the solution it is mixed into. I know there are other wheel cleaners out there that go out of their way to avoid using such solvents and tackle the problem of brake dust and brake pad adhesive residues a different, safer way. The solvent-free cleaners that I use regularly as a professional are by Sonax, McKee's, and Nextzett.

you need to get a load of some really dirty rims and wheels and test the products, so you can see which does clean the wheel and rims and which is best? Cos if it has a bit of dust on the rims, some water and soap will do the trick for example, but if the rim isnt cleaned for 6 months, does it clean the rim then????

Hi Matt, I have looked all over the internet to find information on Hyde’s Serum Rust Stopper about what effect it has on brake pad material. You and every other person in article’s, video’s and forum’s I have found only talk about and seem to care about is the rust which is all about looks. What do you think it is doing to your stopping distances and why would you not care about that? It is never even mentioned. I would love to see an msds sheet with what is in this and again I can’t find that information. Since you sell and ship this product can you please supply me with and msds sheet. Thanks

Many of the products included in this kit can easily last 3-8 years. Like the brushes and microfiber towels. I have been using my wheel brushes similar to the ones in this kit for almost 10 years. So really, over the course of many years, much of the cost of the brushes and towels are spread out over many years. Of course, if you have ceramic or other low dust brake pads, you will be using a lot less cleaning products, so the cost goes down. Having wheels that are coated will reduce the frequency of cleaning, so this kit will last a long time. You can also make your own system from using stuff you like. If you piece a system together from Walmart and autogeek, it will cost you around $250-300, so I don't think this is expensive at all. However, one thing I will add though. Not having free shipping does make the OG kit a little more expensive than the competitors that offer similar product offerings
