No, but I have tried the Berkley Jerk Shad with great results when the bite is slow. I will sometimes cut an inch to an inch and a half off the front end and shorten and thin the skirt out. I will even taper the sides a little to cut down on the bulk.

Thanks Matt. Trailers make or break the chatterbait. People are worried about having the most expensive chatterbait but give no thought to trailers. Flapping horizontal trailers work great for hopping a chatterbait or bumping bottom on retrieve. Zoom speed worms cut to about 4.5" works great as a trailer and allows max hunting action. Alot of ripped craws and creature baits work as trailers in a pinch.

Be it a vibrating jig or spinner bait I like using a stick bait. Sometimes cut down, sometimes whole. My swim jig's it's a different story, probably cause my waters are a bit different. One lake has boulders that can hide a VW with tons of bluff's. It's probably my favorite one.

Thank you for this video, the bladed jig is the one bait. I don't really have confidence in yet since I started fishing again. I'm hoping that'll change this year. Just got my order of slobberknockers and power stingers in the mail so I'm looking forward to trying those out this year and hopefully ending the no fish streak on the blade of jig. Just trying to watch any video relating to bladed jigs lately and they have all added just a tidbit to knowledge base that I didn't have yet

I've gotten to where I never use a flappy ridged craw or boot-tailed trailer on my bladed jigs. For me, flukes do a great job of mimicking bait fish. A Powerstinger is another great choice. But here's the juice...if you can get your hands on some Berkley Craw Fatties, those things are just magical on the back of a slobberknocker. I turn them sideways on the hook to better mimic a fish's tail and fish it almost like a swim jig with jerks, stops, and rips. It's something slightly different those bass haven't seen and I am catching piles of quality fish; several over 6 pounds.

Also Berkeley powerbaits last forever that way too. Just trying too save some people money 💰. ((. I’ve pulled baits stored that way for like 🤔🤔🤔🤔. Iff the power bait smell Is still there. ????? When you live up north like Matt and myself you take what you can get. It's 17 today dropping down to 11deg in the mornings. The water in these parts are a little hard.

Maybe you should watch Roland Martin or Bill Dance catch giants from stocked private ponds... that would amount to "money ill spent"
