Really cool video! This made me to remember a video series from a Finnish guy who took an air taxi to a very remote lake in northern Finland. Then he spent there several weeks alone just relaxing, fishing and hiking in the area.

Personally speaking Matty... I wouldn't have bothered with that Mac & Cheese pouch... I would've probably taken along a small ice packed cooler box... Dropped in a couple of Footlong Subway Sandwiches to keep them nicely chilled... And also added in a few cold cans of soft drink and bottled water... And in a separate carrier bag... I would've taken along a few bags of potato chip snacks... And a few chocolate candy bars... As i think that i would much prefer to have those food items on a fairly warm evening... Rather than having the hot boil in the bag Mac & Cheese... Which looked to be very watery and unappetizing to me my friend... But it was still a very interesting overnight island camping video Matty. Cheers. 👍

Bit sketchy lying on the river bed leaving the vagaries of upstream weather in control of your safety. I'd go for higher ground. Takes a while to sort out your camping requirements. The best I ever saw was an old furniture van, with swing down walls that came with a leather sofa, carpet and standing lamp! Perfect. Your inflatable tent and mat are getting there. Need a brush to clean up though!

Join a Civil Air Patrol group in your area if you want to have a higher rank (and higher paycheck) when you sign up in the armed services. It's fun, you'll be outside for Search And Rescue operations, go to the encampments each summer. I rappelled from a UH-1 mock-up skid on a climbing tower at Fort Indiantown Gap, PA as a Civil Air Patrol member attending meetings each Tuesday at Wood County Airport in Parkersburg, WV; to name just one awesome thing I had done before age 15.

Mountain House is made in Albany Oregon. If done correctly it is great food. I have never found just add water to mac and cheeses to be very good.
