Windbreakers are definitely overlooked. My OR Ferosi never leaves my pack. Even in the winter, with a good midlayer, a windproof jacket rocks.

Wow. The next item I need to downsize is my tent. >2 lbs. I am a small woman, every lb counts. I have ended up backpacking more than I expected when I started.

Thanks. actually i ordered that zero pump from your link :) I will check it when it come :)

That Flextail Zero pump looks great...except the battery is not usb-C rechargeable, which means no thru-hiking with it.
@MattyOutdoors Жыл бұрын
you missed where i mentioned, flextail will be changing the battery to a usbC Rechargeable battery
@dangaspar1707 Жыл бұрын
@@MattyOutdoors I guess I did. I went and looked on their website and that option is not available, only. RCR-123a rechargeable

@@dangaspar1707 flextail has told me it will be changing to a USB-C rechargeable battery, so thats all i know

I thought I heard that it would come with an RCR123a that had a USB-C port on it for recharging. Kind of a weird form factor but I’ve had RCR123a’s with micro USB ports for recharging. It works. Maybe not as convenient as just having a USB-C port on the device itself, but for me, as long as it has USB-C rechargability I’d be happy.

…but if both ends of the tent are open for air flow, aren’t you then in a wind tunnel? I must be missing something here… to me both ends open is a tarp not a tent…
@MattyOutdoors Жыл бұрын
If its windy, and you choose to leave both ends open, i guess. And the brand is tarptent.. so, if it kinda seems like a tarp, there may be an obvious connection there

That tarptent protrail li looks so amazing! Surprisingly is actually roomy :) I am currently using a lanshan 1 pro (10 pound base weight) but definitely will upgrade next season. Feels like sleeping inside a coffin 😂
@MattyOutdoors Жыл бұрын
i have a lanshan pro as well, and the tarptent has WAY more room

The Durston X-Mid Pro 2 gives you a huge 2P tent, for only 4 ounces more!... You'll love the extra space. I'd never go back to solo camping with a 1P tent ever again.
@MattyOutdoors10 ай бұрын
@@username-mc7jw you also need a 2nd pole, significantly larger footprint, and takes up more space in your pack
