Thank you for the great video!! When you are in the second church, just to say that at the end of the Romans, the Visigoths arrived to Spain (Hispania) in 415 AD and they reigned until 711 AD, when the first Muslim invasion arrived. Toledo was reconquered by the Christians in 1085 AD

I'm sorry but it's marketing, it's an invention for foreigners. The reality: each religion had its neighborhood, and they were not the same, in Muslim cities Muslims had more rights and there were taxes for others. There were wars and no peaceful coexistence. There was even a hitler of the time, Almanzor. The harems were Christian women and girls spoils of war. In short, it is commercial propaganda about the 3 cultures

Toledo is also known as "the Imperial City" because it was the capital of the Spanish Empire until it was moved to Madrid in 1561. Toledo is one of the most beautiful medieval cities in Europe, whose historic center has been practically unchanged since the 15th century, and it's perhaps the most unknown medieval town in Europe. History is breathed in every street, in every square, in every corner. It is the Rome of Spain.

Toledo, first of all was a Roman settlement called Toletum, later was established by the Visigothic Court that with the Arab domination had to be moved to Narbonne (South of France). During Alfonse the X The wise, the three cultures could live together and this monarch started translating with his school of translators of Toledo the Bible into Arabic and Hebrew. The Coram Into Latin and Hebrew and all the different religious books. Finally, in the sixteenth century the first uprising of trade unions (For the first time in history) of the Comuneros with their leaders Padilla, Bravo and Maldonado advocating for the rights of smiths, shoemakers, sword makers and other trade unions were defeated by the emperor Charles V in the battle of Villalar in 1521 and the three leaders were executed.. Nowadays in Toledo it is said that the spirits of the three ghosts of the Comuneros leaders still roam the city. Finally the episode of the defense of the Alcazar with the General Moscardo during the Spanish Civil war was the last historical event that shaped the city in what it is today.

@pg.ledesma2 жыл бұрын
@celtibero97422 жыл бұрын
@pg.ledesma2 жыл бұрын
@celtibero97422 жыл бұрын
