So grateful to have been there both nights at SOB’s NYC… thank you for recording and sharing these sacred moments.

At the time I thought a day would come where we all would be elders full of gray and white locs and beards watching MIDNITE chanting away on stage, I thought to myself how many of these shows I was going to record, then it all stopped just like that, I'm glad to see Ronnie finally getting into music again his site is being updated and I think he has an album he produced for an Empress named "TA ME RA" entitled "Bring it Anu"... at least we can hear similar sounds that made us gravitate to MIDNITE, the music scene is so lame imo today, nothing of substance

Sad your battery went out during Beta Israel, such a powerful song. Vaughn is so deeply purposeful and its lovely to see Ron on piano again. He makes love with that base🎶❤

i learned soooo much in this video🔑🔥 love this not many people want to go DEEPER into history.. the truth… so many things shape us aside from just thinking everything is “regular “ nothing really is a coincidence… education is power🔥 im loving the charts and explanation

This music took me to different realms, opened up wormholes, portals, tunnels, whatever it maybe, this was beyond text book knowledge, once Vaughn passed the torch he left a fire inside some of us and its a reason I began making craft for them back in 2010 and I still continue today, its all because of Midnite when I first heard them in 2004. Things will align with you on your path you will see and know as things just will be revealed

i AM SO HAPPY YOU EXIST! i dont find many rastas that were as tapped into this until I came across your channel. ALSO, listening to Vaughn Benjamin/ midnite/ Akae Beka. Which sect of Rastafari believes in this? because I would talk about this and i get some rastas that give me a look like im crazy and they denounce this science part and they are more focused on the bible.

Your truly welcome, I honestly don't know what sect of Rastafari Vaughn followed, Midnite for me was beyond anything I've ever heard before, the sound, production, and lyrics left me in awe. It was more than music, I played every single day for years, up to this day I still only listen to Midnite and some Akae Beka. There will never be a sound like this band, Vaughn and Ronnie did something where you would have to research every single lyric to know what was going on, they traveled through portals and was not of this realm imo. I personally don't follow any sect of anything and I believe this is the reason I was so tuned in, when I began to question a lot of Rastas about things the answers were always one-sided and nothing else had meaning when it did, but because a book didn't say it they chastised it. I left all that drama years ago and focused on my guiding force and Midnite help me along the way, I did not want to miss any SOB shows and tried my best to capture what I could, Im grateful to share this to you and all

I kinda forgot its a verse from an older song and that night there was a lot of chanting and mixing up with sounds, the energy was very high that night, its a different rendition of the original verse when I find out I'll post, during these times when there were live shows they would always go into a vibe where it was like a chanting session (hence 3+ hr shows) it was lovely and somethings we just never heard those sounds again, they were zoned out and so was the audience I can't express how much I miss this band, I always thought I would still attend shows where they were elders huge locs full white beard and all and just chanting away, I hope Ronnie produces again and tour the Reggae scene if FLAT and boring

@@Matucks I love watching their live shows. Many to choose from. I found out of midnite/akae beka when his Transition was announced 2019, So I never got to see them live, and I had a lot of catching up to do with their music&His chants & reasonings.ive happily become enthralled by their mystic live sounds and the albums. Ibe boughten several(that i could afford; many are being overpriced/sold as collectibles, which i feel is against Vaughns message) I was suprised of when I found out about Midnite because im a huge lover of classic roots reggae and somehow over the last few years of finding&listening to roots bands/artists and Midnite never came up. I wish I did find out earlier because I was in San Diego and AkaeBeka played there few times while i lived there amd his last show was there too i think. But bless, things happen as they need to and I found out about Midnite/Akae Beka in the right time.

@@Matucks also Ronnie Is producing again; his personal website says New website coming soon, and his Instagram has posts of him on piano again, and a few posts with a few words hinting on his taking time processing Vaughns transition, and that, "its not for the love of money but the love of music" so I feel sometime this year He may be releasing some new music hes created.
