Couldn’t agree more! We should embrace all the dialects Philippines has, it makes our country very unique and I’m very proud of it, it’s just amazing how small the country is but very rich with cultures, traditions and languages. I was mocked and discriminated by a saleswoman in SM Makati when I was there looking for a Collezione shirt with my very Cebuano accent when talking to her in Tagalog. When I tried to explained the shirt that I’m looking for, she told me “ taga Promdi kaayo?”. I was furious, I told her “Yes I am, I’m from Cebu and a very proud Cebuano, do you have any problem?”. She apologized but I was pissed and left didn’t buy the shirt. I am a very proud Cebuano and I don’t pretend or imitate Tagalog tongue when speaking tagalog, Pilita and the late Elizabeth Ramsey and the 2 bisaya icons because they never try to sounds like tagalog speaking persons even if they’re living in Manila for decades. As a Filipino we should embrace, respect, support each other and be proud how amazing Philippines and Filipinos are in many many ways. Whenever I’m going for long vacation, I always spend most of it in the Philippines, a little bit in other countries. I LOVE PHILIPPINES, and I LOVE my home province Cebu. Always love the pork lechon, the unsalted boneless danggit, and the fried anchovies, it’s the Best❤!
