At 66 years young, I still “put my face on” almost every day. I guess it’s crazy but I still feel more myself if I’ve drawn on my otherwise sparse brows, let the Mac Paint Pot disguise my crepey eyelids, and stipple cream base foundation, bronzer and blush over my mature skin, etc., before moving to eyes. I permit myself a slight dusting of high end powder over the T-zone only; never, ever, ever over concealer. Less is more, I must now remind myself, when it comes to concealer and eyeliner. I have learned, evident in photos, it’s top lid only with eyeliner. It truly can be aging now…ugh. Shadow is now under lower lashes. Top lid can still shimmer, e crease is created higher, and I just wish it would all last longer without creasing. Setting spray, mascara and GOOD SKIN CARE/SPF are my best friends. Times have changed indeed, but I HAVE adapted, finally. I’m also admittedly grateful to still care every about my ritual before leaving the house. That’s just me. Kudos to you, Risa! A well-known influencer had reached out to ask what content her public was interested in viewing. I suggested addressing more mature women from time-to-time. I am 74, take good care of myself, use make-up, dress well and always pay attention to my hair. She shot back with the suggestion & names of youtubers in their 80's that I should be watching. She said she had nothing to offer since she is not in that age group. I immediately unsubscribed. I am so proud of you that you choose to recognize that woman in my age group are still relevant. I am so proud of you and am sure your mother is as well. She only wears Charlotte Tilbury light foundation, a swish of medium bronzer, blush pink & Never without lipstixk, whuch she re-applies durung the day. Bravo! Thank you for specifically doing a make up video for over 70 …I’m 62 but quite honestly my skin is probably more like over 70 as way too much time spent in the sun in my younger years. I so wish we had a Mac store nearby although I would be intimidated to go in and have someone do my makeup as I think like many of us seniors we see only young people sitting in their chairs and never consider trying it. Your mom looked beautiful and so happy with the results.

Oh please don’t feel intimidated!! I’m 76 .. retired at 73 after 25 years at a cosmetic counter in a department store. Now I only use Mac cosmetics , but over the years I have tried other things. MAC has a saying it is “Beauty for All Ages”, and I agree. Some department stores carry the line in store (Macys, Nordstrom etc) I found the pressure to buy products was less than any other counter..and prices more reasonable. Not drugstore prices, but better than higher end lines. Plus the products last. Do you see a lot of young people in chairs? Yes… because too many older women feel like you!!! I use to have to take some women into fairly secluded sections of my counter to do their makeup because they didn’t feel comfortable being on display. I get it! A MAC store is nice because there is less thru traffic.. feels a bit more comfy. Now sometimes you can just start chatting with an associate and “boom”, it clicks. You feel safe and excited and happy. I have that relationship with my ‘person’ at the mac store near me. She calls at every sale and makes suggestions if I have questions on a product.. and she tells me no that it is not for me😂! Love that! Now you need to adjust your brain that you won’t look 25 again… but you will look better and current and why not start there? I wish you such joy on your journey.. I hope you try!! Learn the language of what you want.. and try to see what you can become with a few tweaks! It’s fun…and why not you?

I’m 62 My makeup has changed even from 61. I ALWAYS DAB AND PUSH , TAP , no dragging or pulling. Tint, foundations. Push onto skin. I just turned 60. I do appreciate the upholding the skin in place (not tugging) to stabilize for applying shadow. I have been using brighten per instead of concealer after watching Mariam do it and it worlds great! Thank you for sharing and thank you to your mom for agreeing to be on line!
