MAUA | Milan - Museum of Augmented Urban Art

MAUA, the first museum of augmented urban art, has been inspired by the idea of structuring previously unseen cultural routes outside the city centre and beyond the traditional art destinations. 50 works of street art brought to life in augmented reality provide the perfect opportunity to explore city neighbourhoods that are generally off the beaten track. You get started by choosing your preferred route and once you reach the site, the experience unfolds digitally: look at the pieces through your smartphone and watch it transform into a work of digital art, specially created for the museum using augmented reality technology.

augmented reality is a extention of real life because it forces you to go out and discover real places and find the easter eggs. I guess for some people real life means to sit on the couch and scroll through apps.
