Hello Peg & Rob, thanks for a great informative video, maybe that rusty metal rod you found had been used for unblocking the pipework Rob, they didn't sound like a very helpful hire company, but the main thing is you enjoyed your couple of weeks travel with the motorhome. I know the "flannel feeling" i've just had it for a couple of days with my shower broken. thankfully the plumber is fitting a new one tomorrow. enjoy your adventure and stay safe 👍💞

Hi Phil, you are probably right about that rod…good detective work… wish we’d kept hold of it now. Thanks for all your comments, they really make a difference. Best, Peg

Interesting to see the Motorhome, the good and bad, glad you enjoyed your trip in it despite the issues.😊

Thanks Tracy, there are always issues in life though and especially full time motor homing. Rob and I love this way of travelling though. There are a lot more ups than downs and it is a great way to explore a country. Best Peg 😀

As you say, hiring a motorhome in Australia is expensive, especially if it is a one-way trip. No doubt you saw all the backpacker vans for sale. They get recycled a lot. Looking forward to your next travel video.

We loved it though Brian and would consider buying if we were ever fortunate enough to save up for a trip like this again. Buying is not without risk though. Best, Peg

Hi Peg & Rob. We are about to venture out in August for our first go at RV'ing and will be in the same model of motorhome. Looks like we will even be using the same place to hire from, so hope we don't get a similar wait. Your video was really useful so thanks for that.

Hi Roy, thank you for your kind comment, we absolutely loved traveling that Queensland coast and made a few more KZbin videos of where we stayed along the route from Cairns to Brisbane. @@pegandrobsgameforadventure Thanks. I'll take a look. We are going to head up to Port Douglas and then Lake Tineroo etc. We are also looking at maybe buying an RV later on and living in it for 9 months of the year while touring Australia. I've subscribed to your channel and look forward to more useful tips. Loved the bit about having to have a rub down with a wet Echo :) I sense a Scouse sense of humour there somewhere. (I'm from Chester originally, but have lived in Oz for 11 years now).

@RoyCarterNow Hi Roy, yes I’m from Crosby. Where about are you living in Oz? I would definitely recommend living in a Moho. Rob and I rented one first before we bought. We looked at lots to check out the layouts to see what suited our needs. Ours is called Jurgen, cos he is German and we both support LFC. We loved Port Douglas, preferred it to Cairns. Wished we had stayed there really as it was the best base for the Daintree rainforest and the barrier reef. I suspect you are going to love living in a Moho. Any questions please feel free to ask. We are currently right near Chester. At Tattenhall Marina. Best, Peg 😃

@@pegandrobsgameforadventure I live on Magnetic island with my wife Lyn. Fellow LFC supporters ey? Nice! Re Port Douglas, we got married there in the little white wooden church called St Mary's By The Sea. As for Tattenhall, what a beautiful little village that is. Know it well. I used to live just down the road in Tarvin village. Small world ey?

@@RoyCarterNow It is such a small world 🌎. We will be over in Oz later this year so if you have bought your Moho we may well see you on the road. Do you ever visit the UK?

Hi Peg, my family live in Auckland so that is where I will be based. It’s a beautiful Country. Like yourselves I would love to take my own motorhome there. That Maui you hired would not be my choice, but it the the job. 🚐

@@alanjones6095 we were still glad we hired one. We prefer a moho to a hotel. But there is no moho like your own moho… are you planning to travel around NZ?

This time around going north from Auckland to Matapouri and then up to Cape Reinga.
