That man was taking photos and selling to the tourists on their way down, I think there were 86 steps but they were not tall steps and very easy to climb, that is a special gong that when rubbed correctly makes a loud humming sound, it is to pay respect to Buddha, the views from the top are of the city of Pattaya and Jomtien and the beach, and lastly yes my wife is Buddhist but I am not……thanks for visiting and I enjoyed the questions😃

Love the dog acting as a guard to the entrance of the Buddha. It's funny, I thought that the guy in black was trying to hawk his services upon first look, and then he turned around. I'm all for earning a buck, but don't invite yourself into someone's photo session 😄 It's funny when you said "That's the Buddha we know in America", that is so true, isn't it? I was thinking the same thing. The Thai Nepal temple looked really neat, I would have probably spent a little time there studying the statues. From first glance they appeared to represent various cultures from around the world.

Hi Richard, I actually filmed this last month when we were in Pattaya, this is probably the most popular temple there, it has great views of the beach, and city and is east to get to…..there are always people trying to sell things at the temples…..at this particular one they have so many with cameras wanting to take photos to sell you…. So this one goes into the Temple series playlist…..hopefully it will do better then the beach videos have been doing……back home in 3 weeks🛩
