I Miss My Ramadan Every Year In Pakistan Since 2011 When I Was A Child That Time This Naat Used To Play On PTV Channel. I Was So Excited To Watch This Video Every Day. I Still Remember Ptv Channel Used To Play This Video Only Two Times A Day It Was Very Hard To Wait For This Beautiful Naat But Now After A Long Time I Found It. Whenever I Listen This Naat. My Eyes Gets Full Of Tears It Remind Me Everything Like Those Days When My Family Got Together Around The Suffra Mean Aftari And Dinner In Ramadan And We Watched This Naat Everyday On TV After Azaan Maghrib.
The poet of this beautiful Poem Qasida-al-Burda is Imam Al-Busiri (1211-1294) his family hailed from the Hammad citadel in Morocco and that they were of the Banu Habnun tribe. He lived in Egypt, where he wrote under the patronage of Ibn Hinna, the vizier. The most famous of these is the Qaṣīda al-Burda (Poem of the Mantle). It is entirely in praise of the last and true prophet of Allah, Muhammad PBUH, The most famous Miracle related to this poem is that Hazrat Muhammad PBUH cured the poet of paralysis by appearing to him in a dream and wrapping him in a mantle. The poem has had a unique history . Even in the poet's lifetime it was regarded as sacred. Up to the present time its verses are used as amulets; it is employed in the lamentations for the dead; it has been frequently edited and made the basis for other poems, and new poems have been made by interpolating four or six lines after each line of the original. It has been published with English translation by Faizullabhai (Bombay, 1893), with French translation by R. Basset (Paris, 1894), with German translation by C. A. Ralfs (Vienna, 1860), and in other languages elsewhere. Imam Al-Busiri narrated the circumstances of his inspiration to write the Burdah: I had composed a number of praise poems for the Prophet, Allah bless Him and salute Him with peace, including one that was suggested to me by my friend Zayn al-Dīn Yʿaqūb b. al-Zubayr. Some time after that, I was stricken by fālij (paralysis), an illness that paralyzed half of my body. I thought that I would compose this poem, and so I made supplications to the Prophet Muhammad, Allah bless Him and salute Him with peace, to intercede for me and (ask Allah to) cure me. I repeatedly sang the poem, wept, prayed, and asked for intercession. Then I slept and in my dream, I saw the Prophet PBUH, Allah bless Him and salute Him with peace. He wiped my face with His blessed hands and covered me in His Mantle (Burdah). Then I woke up and found I was able to walk; so I got up and left my house. I had told no one about what had happened. I encountered a Sufi (faqīr) on my way and he said to me: "I want you to give me the poem in which you praise the Prophet, Allah bless Him and salute Him with peace." I said: "Which one?" So he said: "The one that you composed during your sickness." Then he recited the first verse and said: "I swear by God that I heard it in a dream last night being sung in the presence of the Prophet Muhammad, Allah bless Him and salute Him with peace. I saw the Prophet, Allah bless Him and salute Him with peace, was pleased with it and covered the person who sang it with His Mantle." So I recited the poem to him and he memorized it and related his vision to others. - Imam al-Busiri

بلکل سہی کہا آج ابھی میں دوبئی میں ہوں گاڑی لے کر کام پہ نکلا ہوں اور معمول کے مطابق پی ٹی وی کی وہی تلاوت جو بچپن میں سنتے تھے وہی لگانے لگا تھا کہ یہ نعت شریف سامنے آ گئی اور بے اختیار میرا ہاتھ تلاوت کے بجائے اس کی طرف بڑھ گیا اور آج اتنی مدت بعد سن کر جو میری کیفیت ہے وہ بس نوے کی دہائی میں پیدا ہوکر اس نعت کو سننے والے سمجھ سکتے بس کاش کبھی ایسا ہو کہ پھر سے وہی وقت واپس آ جائے اور وہی پریشانیوں فکروں سے آزار دنیا مل جائے ایک بار جب بہن بھائی یا والدین میں سے کوئی سحری کے لے جگاتا تھا اور سحری کے ساتھ ساتھ یہ کلام سننے کو ملتا تھا😢

Definitely bringing tears to my eyes as I am listening to this; I was about 7-12 years old in Pakistan during Ramadan every year this beautiful naat used to come on PTV after Sehri in the morning. My great lovely mother used to make us sehri in the morning then we used to go to school. Ya Allah please give my mother Health and healing for all the great deeds she has done. Ameen.
