Both houses went crazy after his performance. Outstanding interpretation. We gave him more than 10 minutes of standing ovation. What a night. Can't wait to have the same electric feeling once again. Haha, oh Rolando. He is a talent, that's for sure. I agree - what a way to make a rehearsal fun. You can tell that he just loves it in every way possible. I do feel that he pushes sometimes, even if he is a lyrico spinto. I also wonder how long his career will actually last....

Rolado is a really good artist with really good voice. He perfomes very well and he would have a really good technique. He is just pushing as you said. Its a bad habit and its not because of his lack of knowledge or something else. Maybe he is pushing (i dont like it either) but in spite of this i think he is one of the greatest tenor now.

Rolando is a very good opera singer, one of my favourites, but there is something in it that he's pushing and trying to oversing. To an audience it sounds maybe better, because there is more life, strength, emotions, etc.. in it, but it really is a fact that he pushes a lot because -at least I think- he is trying to express his feelings way too much. Though I really like him and his voice. One of my favourites.

I agree with what Peter Becs wrote here three years ago. I think Rolando Villazon is a magnificent singer and I love his voice and personality. He certainly does not save his voice in rehearsal,,,,which worries me a little. I just hope that in other rehearsals,,,not filmed, ,that he held back more. Such a voice is too wonderful to damage. I wish him all the very best!

pourquoi des comparaisons ,ici avec Kaufmann ils sont différents. J'avoue aimer les 2 avec une nette préférence pour Villazon.Un timbre unique et somptueux.Il donne tout à son public et c'est pourquoi il est tant aimé.
