This is now the most popular of the romantic songs of the long gone past. Everytime one hears it the past all comes back. Simply magical.

What the hell? He actually SINGS the verse? I can't believe it, and was just recently blown away with the fact that the Harry Leader one plays the verse, but here it is sang in all its glory.

Hello, I would like to inquire if you could put it on a normal modern record player with a headphone jack? If you just have a headphone cord that can connect to a computer and a record player with a headphone jack, you can digitally upload records in the best quality possible

This isn't possible with 78's it would sound horrible compared to the steel needle on the gramophone. To play back 78's on a turntable with an electric pickup takes a lot of work, before digitisation can begin. Firstly, you have to have a cartridge for which there are 78 RPM styli available in various sizes. 2.5 thou minimum up to about 8 thou for some Pathe discs. Whilst you can record at 33.3 RPM and speed up in Audacity, it never sounds quite right, you really have to play back at 78 RPM. Also there's EQ and noise reduction, before it even hits the computer. Before 1955 the RIAA EQ standard didn't exist and all manufacturers tended to cut their masters using different EQ curves that were vendor specific, using an RIAA curve, a 1930's disc like this would sound horrible. Again, you can reverse RIAA and apply EQ curves in Audacity, but it's never as good as a variable EQ phono preamp. Furthermore, with good discs, good needles and a high end gramophone like an EMG, the sound quality can blow away electric reproduction. I'm not criticizing your comment in any way, just thought a note of explanation was necessary.
