Do we enjoy Maurice LaMarche as Orson Wells? YES ALWAYS! ;-D

To be honest, I think Maurice sounds more like Vincent Price when doing his Orson Welles impression, and Kelsey Grammer sounds like Orson Welles just by speaking.

Put "Drunk Orson Welles impression" into KZbin. Maurice did the champagne commercial, and revealed he was the one who originally released the original footage.

I've studied the frozen peas audio backwards and forwards myself (without needing to rewind) and LaMarche is almost completely spot on. Some of the inflections are off and a word or two is out of place but it's an absolutely amazing amount of recall.

What’s even funnier than the Frozen Peas transcript is the background behind it. Long story short, Welles tricked the directors into paying him in advance and had them chase him all over Europe because he was pissed that they asked him to audition for the role.

I remember that episode of Pinky and the Brain, but I only found out yesterday it was based on a real incident. All I need now is Maurice LaMarche reenacting Welles's drunken champagne commercial as the Brain. I'll...make cheese for him.

It seems to me that whenever I hear Maurice LaMarche's Orson Welles impression, all I think of is that I sounds more like Vincent Price, and when he used for Brain in Pinky and the Brain, is sounded more like one of Maurice's original voices, but it's still enjoyable.
@JacobMKeeneAKADrPepperKing11 жыл бұрын

Well it's meant to sound like a younger Orson Welles.

AJ Miller I kinda thought of that, I'm probably more used to the older-sounding Orson Welles then.
@DrStrangefate10 жыл бұрын
Jacob M. Keene Yeah I thought the same thing when I heard this impression for the first time in the Animaniacs skit. When Orson did the commercial recordings he was just older. But Maurice's impression is spot on for young Citizen Kane-era Orson.
@JacobMKeeneAKADrPepperKing10 жыл бұрын
AJ Miller And it makes sense he dubbed over Vincent D'Onofrio as Orson Welles in "Ed Wood (I never actually saw the movie, just a clip of it)!"

LaMarche's Orson Welles impression is lazy. He can do it well, but he doesn't add the bass to it. Orson wasn't a light baritone, he was a famous bass voice. LaMarche sounds like Peter Lorre. A very good Peter Lorre, but not Orson.
