Poch, you call it what you feel comfortable. Football, Soccer.. doesn't matter. We just want a winning culture where the players fight for you and the badge.

Personality is underestimated in coaching prowess...this guy has the personal confidence and gravitas to give the USMNT its best shot at success

I love how he repeats the word “passion” & “belief” because that’s one thing the US lacks.. we have the quality and depth with decent players but most of them lack fighting for the badge and country

As an American, I became a Chelsea fan a few years ago because of Pulisic, stayed because of Palmer, and watched Pochettino develop the boys at Chelsea last season into a killing machine well on its way to Premiership dominance. Will never forget the penalty kick incident against Everton with Palmer, Madweke and Jackson. What a group! Poch dealt with a chaotic-seeming Chelsea Leadership with class and always respected the fans, even as he left. Players with the quality with which Pochettino is accustomed to working are few and far between in the United States, and seeing that change-- more world class products-- would be my biggest hope for U.S. soccer in the near-to-midterm future. Oh, and maybe we could create a promotion/relegation system in the United states! Good luck Coach Pochettino.

I think it is important to highlight that Mauricio belongs to a generation (1970s) were people didn't really learned english unless they needed to for job reasons or life circumstances. I'm also argentine, like him, but born in the 80s and my parents already had a different mindset about the importance of english or speaking a second language. His english is rough around the edges but he tries and that's already something to be mentioned.

Many of Poch's new US fans will soon realize why he got canned from Spurs and PSG; he takes a talented pool of players and gets them to underperform consistently. His decision to prioritize Panama over Mexico is the beginning of his disconnect with Americans.
