Mauritania is in West Africa, it is unhabitated by Wolof, Bambara, Soninke, Fulani, and Moorish people. Between 80% to 85% of the population is Black. Really funny how they never mention any relationship with Senegal and Mali. What is now Mauritania was part of the Empire of Ghana, Mali and the Almoravides.

@@adineatha9766 go back to mecca with your narrative. Ghana, Mali and Songhaï were all in West Africa and current day Mauritania was part of them. With all the mixing in North Africa current day Berbers a are really a mix of Africans, Greeks, Persians, Vandals, Romans, Arabs, Othomans, French, English and what have you. Enjoy living in West Africa but don't disturb the flow with your manifest destiny.

Sounds like a destination to stear clear off. I have not seen one good reason to go there. You cannot drink the water,if offered a drink you have to pay. You have to cover your body, woman are overweight and some blind aswell . Never heared of a maurtanian restaurant so i presume the food is shit. Heat desert sand storms and draughts . A tourist destination? You tell me....
