La mostra personale di Maurizio Cattelan “Breath Ghosts Blind”, a cura di Roberta Tenconi e Vicente Todolí, è concepita come una narrazione in capitoli che si sviluppa negli spazi di Pirelli HangarBicocca, rappresentando simbolicamente il ciclo della vita dalla creazione alla morte. Il titolo della mostra riunisce le tre opere esposte, dalla nuova scultura "Breath" (2021) alla riconfigurazione dello storico intervento con i piccioni per la Biennale di Venezia del 1997, ora presentato con il titolo "Ghosts" (2021), fino alla monumentale installazione prodotta per l’occasione "Blind" (2021).
Svolgendosi all’interno di un ambiente solenne e imponente, “Breath Ghosts Blind” crea un’esperienza immersiva attraverso gli aspetti più emozionali e significativi dell’esistenza umana, restituita tramite sentimenti opposti come il dolore e l’amore.

Maurizio Cattelan’s solo show “Breath Ghosts Blind,” curated by Roberta Tenconi and Vicente Todolí, has been conceived as a dramaturgy in three moments following the spaces of Pirelli HangarBicocca, and symbolically representing the cycle of life from birth to death. The exhibition title encompasses the three works on display, from the new sculpture "Breath" (2021) to the reconfiguration of the artist’s historic intervention featuring pigeons at the 1997 Venice Biennale, which is now presented under the title "Ghosts" (2021), and the monumental installation "Blind", produced for this occasion (2021).
Held in a somber and solemn context, “Breath Ghosts Blind” offers visitors an immersive and emotional experience through the most meaningful aspects of human life, conveying contrasting feelings like grief and love.
