Look... why All this younger generation born after 2000 are running after the Golden Oldies of 1960's and 1970's film songs. ?. The answer is simple... In those days, songs were created and penned with superb Urdu lyrics. Every word and every sentence were enacted painstakingly and there was great team work between the lyricist, Singer and the musicians. Together, they worked hard day and night particularly musicians like Ghulam Mohammed, Naushad and O.P Nayyar. And we are still enjoying the fruits of those old songs even today because they are all so mesmerising.

I love each and every Pakeezah's song and even today I entertain my English neighbours by playing this song on the stereo in my back garden and when there is pindrop silence and quietness prevails all around the homes, Lataji's Voice from Pakeezah's songs mesmerises the mood, ambiance and atmosphere in this quiet London neighbourhood. What a magical creation of songs from Pakeezah are!!!!. Really Amazing Even after 52 years....By the way, this emerging Singer Saritha is really performing so well and she has improved a lot from her earlier days. Keep it up young lady. Indeed. But Saritha Rahman is not given the chance to perform as playback singer although she is fully qualified for it and deserves the opportunity. The discrimination and injustice done to her by the industry is huge. There is still time to give full honour to her and rectify the injustice done to her.

I think strong demand should be raised from Indians for national recognition like Padma Sri for Sarithaji. This year a Bangladeshi singer (she is mainly a Tagore song singer) received Padma Sri, whereas a phenomenal singer like Sarithaji is being denied this award. Sarithaji is also not in playback which is also very discriminating.
