If Mavado was not in Alliance, when Gaza came at them, what would be the outcome of Alliance today? I wanna know.. Talent is Talent and no 1 man except the ppl involved, get to decide or talk about who build what.. the fans have a right also to put a voice to it, but no 1 fan dont decide whats, what.. majority does... Mavado and Kartel have been the biggest in Dancehall since Bounty and Beenie... am yet to see anyone step up and take charge... they all try to step up but not consistent and they does not impact jamaica the way Beenie vs Bounty and Mavado vs Kartel did.. calling Vado hiphop groupie is such a lame remarks haha... you did song with Killa Did Songs with Nodoubt and T.I them and he thought he was international he was happy.. and if he could, he would do songs with all the rappers... now he say thats groupie.. he aint lying all these rappers wanna do songs with him cause they got mad respect for Jamaicans.. also the chicks go crazy for Jamaican niggas.. am Jamaican and i can testify to that and i know enough to voice what i think of Vado, Killa and Addi.. Busy is another story (these new artiste coming up are recycling lines and style from Mavado and Kartel they changed the style and sound of dancehall just like Drake change the flow and rhyming style of HipHop thats why they can talk all they want it cant hurt his career ...cause he was the first to do it.. now he switch it up and every rapper jumping on haha.. facts is facts, there is a record you can go bck and check Vado did build the Alliance not by himself Killa is the founder.. but the built, 70% of Alliance Rep was base on them not falling, when Gaza step at that mad hard to them and the only person that deffended it all 3 to 4 times war flared up was Vado.. all the other songs were trash compared to Vado.. how you know this is fact.. cause when he defended Alliance, it didnt felt like killa Vado crushing Gaza.. it felt like Mavado from the Alliance steping to the Gaza Empire.. that is why when he said gully... everyone forgets Alliance thats facts, ppl almost though the gully was a name change for the Alliance.. facts.
@tzouse10 жыл бұрын
Seems like you are saying Busy is a new artist coming up and if so you're foolish to the ting. You hardly know facts. First of all Killa works with only one lieutenant at a time, no matter the crew. From Boom Dandimite, Elephant Man, Cham, Marshall, Kartel, Mavado, and Iyara and you don't seem to understand the temperament of all these artists. Some are WAR artist, some are NOT. All of them burst regardless! When Kartel was red hot, Killa was right there behind the scenes. When Mavado was red hot Killa was right there behind the scenes, even more so with Mavado. Listen collabs with Killa/Kartel and you hear a young Kartel coming into his own better than collabs with a young Mavado/Killa, where Mavado sounded puny and weak on the track. Mavado nor Kartel couldn't make an impact on their own, even after they burst, if they still didn't have Bounty Killa's fame backing them. Cham is facts to this. Mavado benefited greatly from support from Alliance during the Gaza war, he even had Bounty Killer supporting him with "Gulliance" at one point! Mavado did not build any more reputation to Alliance anymore than Kartel, Marshall, Busy or Bling Dawg did. Mention Alliance and it's Bounty Killa comes to mind, not Mavado or Kartel. Fact is, it was Gully and Gaza that went to war, NOT Alliance and Gaza. So the only reputation Mavado built was GULLY. Don't be stupid. Alliance cannot be forgotten. WHAT is already forgotten is Gaza. Fact! And once Gully disconnected from Alliance, Waste Crosses and all the other sperms vapourized. That's another fact.

Thugie thug Movado, mi totally agree with you. Den a how dem tell so much lies pan u inna di media so. In interviews you proved all a dem wrong, you should do more interviews, so your fans can get to know your thoughts on issues like this , being silent doesn't always show your side of Innocence. But I must say your do have interllect, I thought different, until now, and that's because of the kind of music you sing, They are violent , I do listen to them for entertainment purposes, I do know how to compartmentalized unlike most people who think music is relating to their life, and end up getting in hughe trouble with it. However , i love this interview, you should do more , it sheds alot of lite on your character, and I'm sure this will help your son's position . Because right now most of us thought your a horrible person for the things that recently came about and people are dead and chopped up. I can't imagine how their relative's must feel , the pain they going through. War is never a good idea, it only bring death and more death.

Movado's first song that got him notice was a cover of snoop dogg and Tyrese " Baby Boy." Shit...the song even birth his name "the real mckoy." 90% of Movado's catalogue are TUPAC songs. 70% of his hits are tupac's songs or where he takes a quote or two (bars) and complete a song. Movado plagiarizes a lot and he never give props to whom he steal from (never heard him big up TUPAC ever even though he stole so much of his shit). I agree with his statements about busy signal though. I've been saying the same shit for years. But when it is all said and done, this is a case of the "Pot" meets the "Kettle." But Movado has more original hits than Busy though. MOVADO is a cb4 dj..frrrruckkk outta here!! Show less

MESSAGE TO MAVADO: Be careful of those who are begrudging of your success and are now at you in an attempt to boost their popularity. You and Vybz Kartel took dancehall to an unprecedented level, both locally and abroad, albeit for the wrong reasons. However, it propelled both of you to certain heights only imaginable by most fellow dancehall artistes. It was all about Mavado and Kartel, before Kartel's misfortune - unfortunately. There is a strong feeling here on the international circuit that many dancehall artistes are privately gloating in Kartel's misery and happy that he is out of the way, so that they can now get a chance to be the centre of attention. But before that can happen they will have to get you too, Mavado, out of the way - as you and Kartel either shared the top spot or voted the best by your fans. But one doesn't have to be a fan to speak the truth that your counteraction or "war" songs sound the best, both when they are lyrically tessellated or when you are just dropping a few words. Your sound and style are unmatched. You have a melodious edge with an eerie feel to your songs that no other dj can match. They try to follow suit by trying to sing in their songs, which do the songs more harm than good, because they just cannot sing. If it weren't for auto tunes they wouldn't dare try it. You caused a lot of these artistes to try sing, including Vibze Kartel. But Kartel could always bounce back on his own unique hardcore dj style - and the fact that he is a great lyricist. With all these great musical attributes, MAVADO, you do not need to get into any "musical war" with those who are just looking for a hype on their career. It is true that dancehall today rides high on clash and counteraction, and maybe the staunchest fans are hungry to re-live the Mavado-Kartel Clash Days. If that is the current vibes amongst the patrons and you feel there is a need to give them a little treat by answering Bounty Killer, then so be it. Bounty Killer is an icon in the business and the only one who deserves to share the same stage with you in a clash. Having said that, it is unfortunate that you two are at logger heads. But since the "musical war" between you and Bounty is on, get on with it, and over and done with quickly without getting physical. Whatever, the outcome, I don't think there will ever be a greater and more exciting rivalry than the one that heads my top five list below: In reverse order: (5) Lt. Stitchie vs Papa San (4) Ninja Man vs Super Cat (3) Ninja Man vs Shabba ranks (2) Beenie Man vs Bounty Killer (1) Mavado vs Vybz Kartel
@tzouse10 жыл бұрын
"Ninja Man vs Shabba ranks" wasn't a clash. Shabba never sang war songs against Ninja all when Ninja beating up on Shabba at the various stage shows. It was long long after Shabba finally did "oil up all a did gun dem" and that wasn't even directed at Ninja really. Lt. Stitchie vs Papa San was hardly a rivalry too, they only had one Sting encounter where Stitchie got too emotional and that was the end of it. Better you put Ninja vs Mad Cobra and scratch Shabba.. You left off Merciless, Killa have an arsenal of songs for the "Warhead" in countless battles. How could you???
@Knockdemdead10 жыл бұрын
tzouse In this case, it all depends on how one interprets a clash to be. For some people, it's the intensity and the extremes of the rivalry that qualifies a clash, which unfortunately oftentimes go way beyond music. For others, once there is a hint of rivalry between two artistes who face off fairly on stage, its a clash - whether the face off lasted for a minute or forever and that it remains musical without getting physical. For me, it's both. I am quite liberal to respect the right you have to hold your own views, albeit I don't agree with some of them. However, I do agree that Merciless going up against two or three other artistes at once, back in the 90's, was a very good one which could have easily made my top five. In fact, I totally forgot about that clash, somehow. As for the Ninja vs Mad Cobra...maybe in my top ten, but not my top five. What you should understand is that many people like myself who are from the old school would have preferred the old time clashes, which were far more comical, musical and free of violence - as opposed to the "clashes" of today. I'll tell you what is not a musical clash: Vybz Kartel vs Ninja Man (attributable to the physical involvement); Kiprich vs Black Rhino (lacks the conventional ingredients of a rivalry leading up to a clash. It was like an arranged marriage in which the true values of marriage are lost or undermined); Lady saw vs Macka Diamond (nothing other than two women quarreling and disgracing themselves); etc...
@tzouse10 жыл бұрын
Shabbaz Ababa I'm referring to strictly musical clashes, from as far back as Border Clash, Nuts and Lecturer., Cutty Ranks and Ninja ....which does not go outside of music. A clash has to have a buildup - first a diss, then a chune-for-chune exchange, and finally a settlement on a live stage show in front of fans. Then a winner. Certainly this is not a situation that is less than a day! Merciless went up against two or three artists at once back in the 90s? I don't know about that. What is real is that Merciless tried his entire career to conquer Bounty Killer from the 90s, to Sting 2000, to Miami Sting 2002 and onwards. And he failed. The best thing about the Merciless/Killa clash is that it brought out the best lyrically in both artists, more-so some dancehall diamonds for Bounty Killa like "bloodbath" and his "Art of War" album, which took shots mostly at Merciless.
@Knockdemdead10 жыл бұрын
tzouse Quote, "Certainly this is not a situation that is less than a day!", end of quote. I do not see the relevance of this statement in respect of my earlier comment, which indicates you probably haven't understood that which you have read of my first paragraph. The only relevance of your statement which I quoted is applied to your interpretation of what a clash is. And like I said before, it all depends on how one interprets a clash. Quote, "Merciless went up against two or three artists at once back in the 90s? I don't know about that", end of quote. You have a point here. It was actually the 2000 sting when Merciless did spit lyrics against more than one artiste. But of course the real clash would have to be between him and his rival on that occasion, even though the morning after the clash, it was on the lips of many dancehall fans that Merciless "killed all a dem". Now, whether this was so or not, I couldn't have cared less as I am never really interested in who win or lose these "clashes", but the excitement it generates.
@tzouse10 жыл бұрын
Shabbaz Ababa No prob, we have different interpretations of what a clash is. We also seem to have different ideas of which artist did what from the 90s. I'm also a 80s fan, as I have a ton in my collection. So it's difficult for me to miss the highlights over the period. Dun know.
