It's nice to know that HHH took care of you rather than taking liberties. It reminds me of how HHH asked Tajiri if he was ok after a HELLACIOUS clothesline in a great previously seen match on the WWE Vault channel. Again great video, hope you had a merry Christmas and here's to an awesome 2025.

@@titanisback1 Referring to him as Dwayne and not The Rock (as Maven did) shows you have a perceived bias of Rock, look how you assumed you knew he was playing politics, Triple H is known for playing the political game, that's how he survived, The Rock doesn't have to play politics in the wrestling business, he has everything he wants, he's a 3rd generation wrestler, he has lineage and deep ties, Triple H's power comes from his ties to the McMahon family, The Rock was successful in other fields besides professional wrestling, I can't say the same for Triple H, if The Rock would have played politics the way Triple H did, The Rock would have broken Ric Flair's record and won multiple Wrestlemania main events, he didn't, because he didn't need to.
@Speedyreedy121814 сағат бұрын
That clothesline wasn't even harsh. And HHH preached on a shoot on Opie and Anthony in 2004 about never taking liberties with anyone because you're supposed to trust each other with your bodies. Opie and Anthony then asked if someone took liberties on him. He said someone did in WCW to test him. After he took the dude down, he had a heated discussion with him in the back.

I need Maven to watch when HHH went on Tough Enough to scare the trainees and give his reaction and thoughts. That was a classic show episode lol
@The_Razielim17 сағат бұрын
I don't remember precisely which video it was, but I think Maven did do a partial watch of that segment previously. The two parts I remember from his reaction were him talking about that they were all told someone "big" was coming that day but weren't told who it was, then when they were all assembled in the training area everyone being super shocked that it was Triple H coming in to talk to them... and Triple H giving another guy a bunch of shit because his balls were hanging out of his shorts.
@radalexander716017 сағат бұрын
@The_Razielim Ah okay thanks for that. I wanted him to react to the part where HHH is burying Goldberg lol especially since he was telling Maven about how he hates squash matches.
@The_Razielim15 сағат бұрын
@@radalexander7160 I think vs. Goldberg was different since I feel like that *is* how you use a squash match to build someone as a threat. Goldberg was considered a high-level "threat", so kicking the shit out of him serves a purpose to build you up as "the guy who just rocked Goldberg's shit". It's a similar logic to when Cena suggested that Lesnar absolutely beat his ass immediately after breaking the Undertaker's streak.. "This guy just beat the Undertaker's streak, we can't have me go one-for-one with him.", so they just had Lesnar throw Cena around for a bit to cement "Holy fuck this guy is a different class of monster." But the requirement is that both guys have to be peak talent. Squash matches on low-/midcard guys depend on who is doing the squashing. If it's a high-level guy (like Triple H squashing Maven), there's no point to it since they're already at the highest levels, so it just becomes this sort of "Yeah no shit they beat that guy's ass." Low-level guys are how you start building somebody up. Think back to when they introduced Ryback (in the beforetimes)... he came up through the card just destroying low-/midcard guys to build his credibility chewing his way through the roster. But I feel like that only works if they're an unknown quantity, and only in one direction. Like they could never have started him at the top of the roster fighting big names and had anyone believe that, it took months of him working his way through the lower end of the roster to build that threat-level. I think that made sense lmao
@radalexander716014 сағат бұрын
@The_Razielim I agree with all of this I meant that Goldberg's thing in WCW was squashing guys which is how he got so popular. I was saying HHH was probably shitting on Goldberg saying he doesn't like his style of match and it doesn't work.
