Maverick 6 Shooter Blind Review

When I had my son, I went on the look for a new blind. I was tired of replacing Pop up hub style blinds every year. I landed on this Maverick 6 shooter blind. In This video I talk and show everything about my Maverick 6 Shooter Blind. I have spent a lot of hours in this blind. We have harvested many Turkey and Deer from inside the blind. I use to cringe when I thought about hunting out of a hunting shack or blind cause I hated the feeling of setting with blinders on or moving the pieces around to peek out of the pop up blind. I never knew how good a 360 degree view blind would be until I bought this one.

Good review man. I think I’m gonna buy a few for my place. Being able to buy three of those for almost the same price as one Cadillac one, I think I can put up with some minor things like small leaks or gaps.

Im in central/north central Ohio. Looks like you’re in southern Ohio based on the hills. How has it stood up to deep snow? I read one review where a guy claimed his caved in under heavy snow. But online reviews are not always trustworthy.

Snow has never been an issue. I stood on it when I was putting the halves together when I first got it and it never offered to buckle or anything.

Great review, I got one of those as well, any chance you have a quick parts list of the tower you built for it? I have been wanting to get mine elevated and that looks pretty stable. What size platform did you end up with? Thanks.

I’m sorry I do not have the exact size off hand. Next time I’m around I’ll measure it up. But yes very stable where it was catches a ton of wind and weather so I went a little overkill. It’s right at 10 foot to the platform and I used 6x6 post with 2x6 floor joists then covered it with advantech flooring.

How did you attach your blind to that platform bolts or screws ? I’m building the exact same thing

I first used some construction adhesive then used lags and screws with big washers.

how did you assemble the stand? Fasten to platform, then raise? or raise assembled blind onto the platform?

I assembled it in the shop. Moved it to a pallet then used forks on the tractor to lift it to the platform.

What glue did you use to stick the foam panels onto the inside walls?

The stuff on the sides was a roll of soundproof insulation and I just used two sided tape. I’ve actually been surprised it’s still stuck. Originally I figured a year or so and after a winter it would lose its stickiness but that’s stuff is still stuck tight.

It had an adhesive backing on it, it’s still stuck up there. I have since bought more blinds and the recent insulation I bought didn’t have the adhesive backing, and I’ve tried everything to get it to stick with no luck.
