Wiggins is the same Wiggins imo, just repurposed. He's still that athletic wing who can give you 25 a night but now he sacrifices about 8 of those points a night to use his athleticism for defense. Also he's no longer asked to find his own shot nowadays, It's either free flowing or Dray goes out of his way to create for him.

Very COMPLETE game by the Warriors tonight. Everyone was involved, Steph with 12 rebounds, Dray with defensive stops, and Wiggins and Poole getting their buckets as usual. But they need to stay on their toes with the Mavs, they'e used to getting blown out and bouncing back.

It would used to be “agh damn wigs only scored 20, what a bad game.” For wiggins. But now it’s “damn wiggins great defense won this for us. Added 15 too to seal it off.” He works perfectly with the warriors system.

What's impressive about this win is that GS built their lead slowly but surely. They didn't do it with hot shooting. Hot shooting always turns cold, usually sooner than later, then the other team makes their run. But when you build a big lead slowly, that means you're executing your game plan to perfection.

Exactly. Mavs staggered screen action for Luka and Brunson are nice but the other 3 players are nonfactors with the ball. The Suns have their simplified screen game but take Booker, CP3 and Ayton from their spots and they are BBQ chicken just like how the Mavs defense cooked them in that series. All 5 of the Warriors starters are willing passers at least and 4 of them can put the ball on the floor to help make a play even if its a turnover. Its harder to lock down on defense when the ball is alive like that.

Noticed how warriors clearly changed game plan and scored a lot of their points in the paint against the mavs who don't really have a star, lengthy defensive big in the paint and with high efficiency, even though 3pts were little less efficient than usual. I don't think Mavs have the right player to be a defensive presence in the paint without compromising the perimeter defending, which i give props did they a good job of, but ended up giving up so many paint points especially from cutting.

Mavs lost game 1 in the last two series. Easy to write them off after a blowout, but their coaches have done a tremendous job making adjustments. Warriors will probably do a better job of countering than Jazz and Suns though. Some jitters possibly came into play for Mavs. They missed so many good looks in first half, but give credit to Warriors. Their defensive rotations were solid.

Unlike some teams, the Warriors have the experience, teamwork, and player contribution to be able to dominate a playoff game like this. Wiggins have done a great job guarding Luka as well. Good to see them perform great tonight but it's only the first game of the series, and they need to remember they are against the Mavs. Luka might go off next game and we never know when he decides to be hot.

I mean thats the thing. The Warriors legit have a second option despite how bad Klay may be this season. They have a LEGIT 3rd option in Wiggins who can still put up double digit number while playing physical defense. Poole is hit or miss at times but when he's hitting, pray the Warriors aren't ahead or closing the lead. Their 8 man rotation is more versatile than the Mavs where outside of Brunson on a good night, Dinwiddie, the shooting wings and Kleibers jumper is hit or miss.
